Aaron Wise - 51 Fitzhamon Apartments

Excellent accommodation, clean, very well appointed, and very well thought out, with features including keyless admission - no worrying about losing keys! We particularly enjoyed the spaciousness and the en-suite bathrooms. Although parking was not included, finding a spot for our car was easy and we parked in the road outside the property. The location could not have been better, it is a ten minute walk to the city centre and Bute Park, Cardiff Castle, and the railway station were even closer. We would definitely recommend staying here and would absolutely stay here again ourselves.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I managed to book it last minute with no issues, and the staff sent all the info right away. Everything was nice and clean, including the sheets and towels – no stains at all, really high standards!

The only minor issue was a slight accumulation of limescale in the shower, but apart from that, everything was satisfactory. I will certainly consider booking again in the future. It would also be beneficial to have dishwasher detergent readily available at the property for use.

Modern.

There weren’t enough items to serve salads, or heat anything up in the microwave. There wasn’t even a water jug to put cold water in the fridge. Could have done with placemats for the glass table (we had to use paper towels. A tea towel would have been helpful too. We had to ask for wifi password and garbage bags as none were left.

Great location, common areas of property well maintained and lovely friendly staff.

Although it is a serviced apartment it was not clear when the room would be cleaned / checked in on to empty bins or replenish coffee etc so I had to contact the staff. I would have been fine to sweep/ wipe down the surfaces as they didn’t visit every day but no facilities given for this. Information given wasn’t always accurate. A do not disturb sign would have been useful. Facilities on listing not accurate, there was a microwave but not oven. There was also no information in the room on how to use the washer dryer so I had to find the manual on Google. Generally a great place to stay but felt expensive when I was having to request things all the time.
