Very secluded for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. Next time we’ll take our wetsuits as too cold to go kayaking/open water swimming in late October. On arrival (9pm) the heating was playing up in the lounge/diner of the two bed cabin but Maria arranged for Gordon to pop over to the rescue straight away to ensure we were warm and cosy 😁

The location was good, easy to find and close to the main road. Maria was very helpful when we had an issue getting through the gate and very welcoming and friendly when we met her later that night. Extra bedding had been left as requested for the sofa bed, though we brought our own as well just in case. The cabin was a good size and well stocked with supplies. We had a very comfortable nights sleep.

The grounds of the resort don’t give the best first impression, it looks somewhat like an abandoned summer camp, but given my love for horror films it was pretty exciting. On a serious note, it’s a beautiful piece of land but requires a lot of maintenance - though I would say this is understandable given the fact it appears everything is being run by one person. When we arrived, the pod was generally clean, though there looks to have been a dog in previously so the floors had a fair bit of pet hair present. A quick sweep out and a wipe down and it was fine. If you don’t go in expecting luxury accommodation, it’s a pleasant place to stay.
