Weekend retreat

Amazing hospitality from John and Beth and a brilliant combination of a deep sleep followed by a stunning breakfast. The room had a feeling of quality and the mattress was handmade and luxurious and just fantastically comfortable.

The location was stunning to get away from everything but it did mean you had to plan for an evening meal somewhere else. Apart from that, we had a brilliant trip and were made to feel at home and part of the family.

Warm and welcoming

The location was great only a short drive to the Edinburgh but in great scenic location and not far from many great sites of interest. The Room was a great size and bed very comfy. Breakfast was fantastic and worth the cost of stay alone and the home cooked cookies were glorious John & Beth Excellent Hosts and extremely helpful

Unexpected Luxury in the Scottish Countryside

Lovely welcoming hosts who go above and beyond for guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated and really comfortable and the gardens surrounding the property are well established so you can watch the birds from the breakfast room. I can understand why the breakfast has won awards, choice, quality ingredients and beautifully presented.

Everything was 1st class. Absolutely amazing. I cannot praise Beth and John enough for how they looked after my friend and I. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending a stay at Arden Country House to anybody who wants to enjoy a fabulous experience. Our stay at Arden Country House was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. Everything about our stay was first rate. It is easily the best place we’ve stayed during our 4 week trip thru Iceland, Ireland and Scotland.

Beautiful stay, with the best breakfast ever!

The room was so comfortable with lots of lovely touches, snacks and drinks in the room and beautiful view. The hosts were so welcoming and I would recommend the breakfast which is worth every penny- we even had some scones to take away with us! We felt very looked after, what a beautiful place will definitely stay again.

Lovely clean, large double room. Spotlessly clean en-suite. Breakfast was exceptional, so much choice, everything from freshly stewed fruit fresh fruit ,yoghurt, cereal, bread, rolls pastries, cooked breakfast (scottish) pancakes and more.....delicious,

This B&B is awesome! The location is amazing and the room magnificent with views over the countryside! The bed was super comfy (and big!) and the room was super clean (and big!). The welcome was very warm and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was so amazing (and big!) and full of every choice going. Much of the breakfast was sourced locally so it was a proper Scottish fare. John and Beth, the owners, pulled out every stop to make a stay at their B&B the best possible experinece and staying there was easily the highlight of my week travelling around Scotland. Thank you so much for a fantastic experience. Highly recommended and I will definately be going back in the future!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful house - like staying in a luxury hotel but much friendlier.

We were made to feel so welcome. Our stay in the house was very luxurious with everything we would need and more. Freshly made shortbread brought to our room not long after arriving along with fresh milk. The house was ideally situated for visiting this part of Scotland. We stayed here for just one night to visit Falkirk which is about 20 mins away. Breakfast was amazing. A wide range of breakfast dishes were available and all interchangeable. We came away with delicious apple scones to eat later in the day. Couldn’t fault our whole experience and will certainly return.

A fantastic accommodation with a very warm welcome and an AMAZING breakfast! They say ‘it’s the little things!’, however the hosts at Arden Country House have gone over and above, to ensure your stay is one you will never forget. The presentation of everything is that of perfection. Everything they do is ‘not a problem!’ I can highly recommend this 5 star stay, in a quiet and beautiful countryside location. The apple and cinnamon scones, were the best we have tasted. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Fantastic People and facilities worth a stay

Family owned business, the facilities and just how the whole experience of staying here compared to the National chains was outstanding. My colleague will be back for work and if im having to stay in the are this will be my number one choice.
