Calm, quiet, pastoral, yet very close to town center

The place is in a very pastoral surrounding, quiet, soaked in green, yet 5 minutes drive from Linlithgow town. All the facilities are highly-well kept, adding for a wonderful 2-night stay. The bathroom is spacious, very good shower. Will certainly return!

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful location. Beth and John are very helpful and friendly.

Badgers Den is self catering so breakfast was not included. Some tea and coffee was provided to get you started. All you could want in respect of the kitchen. Dishwashing and washing machine cleaners are provided.

Loved the character of the accommodation and everything had been done to a very high standard, and everything had been thought of. The location was so peaceful and Beth was very welcoming. Especially loved the homemade fudge and would certainly stay again.

Couldn't have asked for more

There were so many thoughtful touches including some beautiful homemade shortbreads and cakes. We were well looked after and I will be returning with my partner. We even got lucky enough to see and stroke the gorgeous doggos just as we were leaving. This topped it all off and took the place from a 10/10 to an 11/10. I almost don't want to review so it's not fully booked when I come to book again!

Everything was perfect. The room was excellent the cooking facilities, everything was available. The view was great and the whole atmosphere was relaxing after a long day, i loved staying there and i hope it will be available the next time I am working in the area.

Hidden gem

The Badgers Den is a hidden gem. A peaceful spot away from the crowds, but close enough to sights, shops and restaurants. The studio was clean, comfortable, beautifully designed and decorated. It had everything you'd need in a self catering accommodation. And our hosts were just delightful. We'd definitely stay again thank you for hosting us!

Wonderful comfortable place to stay, clean, quiet.

Badgers Den has everything for an amazing stay. There was milk, coffee, teabags, sugar, crisps, chocolate biscuits and condiments. Very quiet location, typical countryside noises pheasants, horses and sheep. The bed and chairs were extremely comfortable. Everywhere inside and out was very clean. Attention to detail, there was nothing missing. Being short I loved the fact I could see my face in the mirrors - usually I can just see the top of my head.

Unfortunately I couldn’t reach the glasses on the shelf, but there were enough mugs to drink out of. I think this is a mostly a me problem

A delightful place to stay

Badgers Den is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It has an upstairs deck overlooking horses in paddocks and sheep in pastures.

There is only one thing I would change - I would put clear glass panes in the back door so you can see the view from inside.

Great base for exploring Scotland

Easy to find. Lovely welcome from the owners. Great location. Quiet but central to everything. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Nice bathroom. Great use of space, layout well thought out. Very clean. We used the apartment as a base for exploring Dunfermline, Stirling, Falkirk, Dollar, and much more - it was a fantastic choice.

Great base from which to explore this part of Scotland.

Badger’s Den was equipped with everything we could possibly need to make our stay very comfortable. It was warm and cozy despite the weather which meant that some of our sightseeing opportunities were limited. However, it was good to come ‘home’ to our quiet retreat.

Shame we didn’t see any wildlife!

We had a lovely stay at The Badgers Den. The lovely host (Beth) met us on arrival and gave us a very warm welcome. The apartment was lovely, spacious and very clean. We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the beautiful country side views. Only a short distance from the local train station where we travelled to Edinburgh for a concert. We will definitely stay here again ☺️ Thank you Beth x

Amazing

The hosts were so lovely. Made us feel so special with fresh homemade Pavlova, it was amazing. Location was perfect. We loved just sitting at night outside looking at the stars. The fresh air and nature is just amazing. It's such a great location to disconnect from the city life.

Beautiful location, ideally placed for touring a variety of locations and attractions. The balcony is a suntrap. Breakfast and sundown. Inside is modern and fresh with a well appointed kitchen and a huge comfy bed. The bathroom is well designed with a good shower. Lovely views across fields from balcony and so very quiet

Badgers Den is in a beautiful setting. It has everything you need for a cosy romantic get away. The property is immaculate, spacious and very well equipped. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The location is ideal for exploring the area. We would thoroughly recommend this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A fabulous very comfortable and beautiful place to spend a few days, it’s absolutely lovey!

We loved everything about it. A beautiful peaceful location, a very. Modern and comfortable studio apartment, well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our host left us some delicious home baking one morning on our doorstep, such a lovely surprise to wake up to! A fabulous stay, we absolutely recommend it!

Perfect for a relaxing, peaceful break

Pictures don't do the accommodation justice. Exceeded our expectations. Well designed, comfortable and with everything you need for a self-catered, relaxing break (and more besides). Amazing views and sheep grazing in the adjoining fields. Very peaceful location yet only a short drive into Linlithgow and the motorway network.

If you are looking for a beautiful self-contained abode, for a peaceful and scenic break, then book

John and Beth were perfect hosts. John shared his extensive knowledge of places to visit in the local area and Beth has exceptional baking skills and delivered fresh, oven warm treats to our door regularly. The Badgers Den was clean and really well equipped. The property and it’s surroundings are stunning and Linlithgow is a great location as a base with a great road and rail network. We visited Edinburgh by train; we took a trip on the Linlithgow Canal; we drove to a significant number of castles including Glamis Castle; popped to St. Andrews for lunch and visited a plethora of beaches including North Berwick. We even ventured to Glengoyne Distillery to sample a wee dram of whisky or two. Always returning to the Badgers Den for a very relaxing sleep in the most huge inviting bed. We will no doubt return

Relaxed escape

Beautiful spacious room with balcony which we enjoyed both nice in the sun. Bed was very comfortable so helped have a good night sleep. Enjoyed the small personal touches such as homemade scones. Everything there you need for self catering. There is an iron and ironing board which we weren’t sure if they had. Enjoyed the surrounding views. Only a small drive to Falkirk Wheel and The Kelpies. Welcoming hosts.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like. It is a remote location so need to be able to drive if going anywhere else. Not aware of being able to walk into the neighbouring town as roads aren’t safe. Again this is nothing to do with the property.
