Number 10, Montpellier Apartments, Teignmouth

Location was amazing. The apartment was superb. Comfortable beds, sofa with great view. Balcony was a great size with suitable furniture for sitting out. The apartment was clean and decoration was to our liking.

The weather

Very comfortable, incredible views of the town and ocean, great location, easy walk to town. Great place, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends.

Lovely view of Teignmouth, the sea and Devon countryside. Easy parking, short walk into town, all be it up hill on the way back which might be an issue for some

Upon arrival it was clear the property was having significant works to the outside done. 50% of the building was covered in scaffolding and a plastic wrap around. These works impacted the main bedroom so far as 1) You could not open the window more than a couple of inches, rendering the room unbearably hot 2) If you opened the curtains you came face to face with workman on the outside 3) works being done look to relate to cladding which was a concern. While I have some sympathy with the owner as the works would have been outside their control, they had been ongoing for weeks and we should have been told, had we been we would not have booked. Owner provided a fan and offered to potentially move us to another property, however no details as to what that might be and we had researched and chosen this property. 3 sleepless nights spoilt the holiday and I’m unhappy that the works were not flagged as clearly they are a big issue.
