Immaculate apartment, well stocked kitchen. Fantastic stay!

Very clean apartment with a very well stocked kitchen - if you want to do some real cooking then this is possible here (4 pots, one pan, a lever cork screw, big and small wine glasses, lots of plates and bowls and glasses and cooking utensils etc). The apartment seems almost brand new right now (Sept 2021) so the place is immaculate. Looks exactly like the photos. We got a code for using the front door - no need to arrange collecting keys etc so this was very handy. Has a washing machine AND dryer (Middelburg is more humid than we thought). Owner left a manual on the table which gives wifi code, house rules etc - very helpful and is in German, English and Dutch. Apartment was stocked with dishwasher tablets (enough for our stay), coffee and tea and washing up liquid - much appreciated. There was a bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. The bathroom towels are fluffy and smell like fabric softener (this is even better than hotels) and we even had two washing tablets to do laundry. There is a barbecue and nice back garden which was also in immaculate condition - we did not make use of it because the weather was not for it but it looked very inviting! Location is also good as it is just outside the bastion and central area and so car parking is easier here - free street parking is just a few streets away (5-10 min walk) but you can drop your stuff off in front of the apartment. Apartment owners are easy to reach by whatsapp and they live next door. Had a really great stay, would stay here again.

This is not a complaint, just for awareness of other travelers: The bedroom is very close to the street so if you sleep lightly it might be a bit noisy when a car passes, but in general the street itself is quiet - but maybe just bring ear plugs in case. The noise did not bother me but my wife used ear plugs and that was fine. Also not a complaint - just FYI - Middelburg is humid and so is the apartment so it is good to open the windows/doors now and then but, being the Netherlands, there is the odd mosquito which sneaks in.
