Friendly with ease of access to your room any time of night. Good for a drink in the pub garden before going to bed. Adequate facilities for a basic night away. Good value for money. Pub has a pool table and a piano if you fancy a plonk.
If there was something I didn't like I wouldn't say because these people were so nice and friendly. It's not the Hilton, I don't think Jamie Oliver runs the kitchen, and Dunsford isn't an exciting cosmopolitan metropolis. It's a very quiet village and this is a local village pub. If you want a cheap base to explore the region I would say go for it.
