Capsule Hotel - Zurich Airport

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at The Capsule Hotel at Zürich Airport and would consider staying again for a short transit. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful whenever I had questions. The capsule itself was surprisingly comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I especially liked the lighting inside the capsule, which created a cozy atmosphere. Although there is no individual air conditioning inside the capsule, the room temperature was comfortable and well regulated. The Wi-Fi worked excellently during my stay. Another highlight was the common lounge area, which felt more like a quiet study space with plenty of tables and seating, perfect for relaxing, working, or waiting for a flight. The location is also convenient once you know where it is: it is located opposite Swiss check-in area 1 inside the airport.

The main challenge at first was finding the hotel inside the airport, as the location was not immediately obvious. It may help future guests to know that it is located opposite Swiss check-in area 1. I also did not receive my check-in code at the expected time and needed assistance from reception, although this was resolved quickly. One thing to keep in mind is that capsule accommodation naturally offers less sound insulation and privacy than a traditional hotel room. During the evening, noise from other guests entering and leaving their capsules and opening doors could sometimes be noticeable and affected the overall quiet atmosphere.

It’s right at the airport, perfect. Good price for that, although it did go up quite a bit now. The cabins are cozy.

It’s very close to the airport terminal entrance and the staff is very nice and helpful. There’s also the possibility to buy drinks and food at the reception.

The major problem for me was air ventilation. No great issue with the space … sleeping in a capsule is fine especially if you are very tired but it felt the air circulation was very low and the corridor’s air where the capsules are located was heavy …
