Very charming you will feel right at home!

The cosy setting and the details they added. Also the breakfast is amazing we are certain to come back hopefully next year! The hosts are not only the nicest but very welcoming and charming it’s not crowded! It’s just perfect.

Nothing to say really maybe only that the sheets were to short but that’s more about preference.

There’s nothing good to say

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived at the property around 6:48 PM, just 48 minutes after the stated check-in window. I had messaged ahead to explain I might be a bit late and asked about how to collect the key. The host completely ignored all communication — no call, no message, no help. The check-in window is limited to 3 PM to 6 PM, which is already unreasonable for anyone traveling — especially on an international trip. But what’s worse is that nowhere does it say “strictly no check-in after 6 PM.” It’s hidden like fine print, without warning of any consequence. That’s not a fair policy — it’s a trap. I physically arrived at the property, called and messaged again, and still got no response whatsoever. I had no choice but to book another hotel on short notice — at double the cost — just to have a place to sleep. My evening was ruined, and part of my trip was wasted. And yet, the host kept the full €118, providing nothing in return. No refund. No explanation. No apology. It’s not just poor service — it’s morally unacceptable and borderline fraudulent. What makes it worse is that this kind of behavior, especially toward foreign travelers, damages the international image of their country — whether Belgium or the Netherlands. If this is how guests are treated, it’s a national embarrassment. Avoid this place at all costs. And if you only see good reviews, be sure to sort by lowest rating to read about other similar cases. Don’t fall for it like I did.

We liked

My first impression was absolutely magnificent. The room was elegantly simple and impeccably clean. The surrounding area was rich with nature, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Inside, the hotel was wonderfully quiet, offering a perfect retreat from the outside world. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious, thoughtfully prepared and served early just as we requested before our departure. Every detail of our stay was carefully attended to, making the experience truly enjoyable. If I ever plan another trip in the future, I will undoubtedly choose to stay at this wonderful place again.

Wonderful Stay

We were late, but they patiently waited for us. The room was beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, the breakfast room had very nice views, and the owners were very helpful. Although we were only stopping for a night in the area, we realized that we need to come back and fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Exceptional

Claartje and Bart are amazing hosts! Warm, and super friendly, they give the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Extra complements for the breakfast with a super cute and calm view from the river. The red fruit jam deserves your "attention", it is super delicious! The details observed by them deserve your attention as well. Like having facial masks, simple medication, small Bluetooth speaker available in the bedroom. You can see that everything was well thought out with care and extra effort to make sure your stay is perfect. Thank you for the great stay!

Great battery recharge!

Claartje and Bart are Superhosts! Warm, friendly reception, went the extra mile to prepare a wonderful vegan breakfast for us, and had printed maps for nearby hiking routes with clear instructions/photos to ensure we got back in one piece. Location is great, next to start of a hike, also flowing river, and a great Spar supermarket 2 mins down the road. Short drive to Durbuy centre and close driving proximity (20-30 mins max) to some great places to visit, like La Roche en Ardenne. Would definitely stay there again!

The place was well located, the hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was exceptional and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The communication was great, the hosts informed us of activities to do nearby for the weekend. They had a great garden, but due to the weather we were unable to use it, will definitely visit the property back for it. We were very happy by the end and even received a small goodie bag from the hosts.

A lovely stay

The place was amazing! The hosts were at all times very nice and friendly with us. The breakfast was incredible (lots fo food and everything was very tasty) and even though due to the weather we could not enjoy the terrace, they had a sheltered porch with nice views to the garden, but warm enough. The room and bathroom were clean and I really liked the combination of the new appliances (like the shower) with the refurbished old furniture. They even had boardames to borrow in the common room.

The only thing I can complain about is that the wifi was a bit inconsistent sometimes.

Beautiful countryside house with wonderful hosts

We absolutely love this beautiful countryside house. It has been recently renovated and decorated with fine taste – a near perfect mix of old and new. The room was exactly what we expected, if not better. As we thought our stay couldn't get much nicer, we were introduced to a spectacular breakfast with a great view to the garden and the river. Claartje and Bart are the most wonderful hosts, and we would like to give an honorary mention to the three animal friends who made us feel even more welcome. We will definitely be back!

Mooie B&B met zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Ontbijt gemaakt met lokale ingrediënten. Ook aantal adresjes gekregen om deze lekkernijen te kopen. Elke zondag is er een kleine markt.

Super hartelijk ontvangen. Mooie kamer, voldoende ruimte. Uitstekend ontbijt met een zeer persoonlijke aanpak. We hebben ons enorm goed gehad tijdens ons verblijf.
