The hosts are very friendly and it’s noticeable that they do it with love. The autumn decorations gave an extra charm and coziness to the place. The breakfast was diverse and tasty!

My boyfriend and I really wanted to find a place where we could disconnect for a little and also be as close to nature as possible. And let me tell you that, this place is honestly speaking the most beautiful, most welcoming, most relaxing place I've ever stayed at when travelling. The host, France, is such a sweet, generous, and calming lady. I have honestly never felt this welcomed and listened to. She is so genuine, and you can see she loves what she does. She really takes her time with her clients to get to know them, make them feel welcome, and make sure their experience suits exactly what they were looking for. My boyfriend and I had the most amazing experience, being able to enjoy our morning tea, in the beautiful garden which we had access to. The breakfast also had a bit of everything, which is perfect. The room is perfectly equipped, clean, and really cosy. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about our experience there. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a bit of tranquillity in nature, along with different types of excursions and long walks in nature that are in the area! (France has prepared a few for every client and can show you where to go to have a good experience). I, therefore, want to thank France for her beautiful energy and for the experience my boyfriend and I got to have there, which truly made our trip just like we wanted it to be.

Exceptional

Our hosts France and her husband Pascal could not have been more welcoming and generous and even prepared us an evening meal on request, so welcome after a long journey. France is a connoisseur of food, full of excellent advice, and in our very comfortable room was welcome pack of local specialities and a little bottle of local wine. We were also offered the use of a charming reception room. Breakfast was superb. Au doux Chardon was a great discovery, good value for all that it offers, and even though the business is new, its reputation is spreading fast. We will definitely be returning!

Zeker niet overslaan!

De ontvangst en verzorging door een top gastvrouw waren perfect! Het hotel was tot in de puntjes feestelijk aangekleed voor de kerst, en mijn dochter werd verwend met lekkers en een cadeautje. Er werd zelfs speciaal voor ons Nederlandse kerstmuziek opgezet bij het ontbijt. Ontzettend attent! Los van de kerst was alles enorm sfeervol ingericht en het was schoon en hygiënisch.

Het hotel (alsook de kamers) liggen aan een doorgaande weg. De auto's rijden hier redelijk hard en daardoor was het niet fijn om het raam open te hebben 's nachts.

Excellent acceuil, propriétaires aux pts soins pour leurs hôtes. La literie au top, les draps étaient d'une douceur. Je souligne la mise à disposition d'un large éventail d'ustensiles de toilette. Bon pt déjeuner, varié.

Un séjour de qualité et chaleureux.

L’accueil est très chaleureux. Nous avons eu plusieurs petites attentions de leur part. Ça fait plaisir ! La chambre était très bien. Le lit est très confortable et grand. Le petit déjeuner est parfait il est varié et nous avons eu des pancakes rien que pour nous. Nous avons passés une belle soirée. Merci beaucoup !

Een warm en hartelijk verblijf met meer dan nodig was!

De warmte, gastvrijheid, attentheid, netheid,.. Het was echt perfect in orde! Als we meer tijd hadden, hadden we zeker in de mooie grote tuin gezeten en naar de paardjes gegaan.

Wij hebben absoluut geen opmerkingen.

Au delà de nos espérances

Au doux Chardon est situé dans un magnifique cadre campagnard propice pour se ressourcer. Nous avons été reçus dans une ancienne bâtisse qui a conservé tout son charme avec l’ajout de quelques petites touches de modernité. Les extérieurs sont idylliques pour se poser un moment pour écouter la nature, admirer l’Aisne (cours d’eau qui passe au fond du jardin) et aller saluer les chevaux. France nous a accueilli très chaleureusement et était aux petits soins (pleins de petites attentions tout le long du séjour : petit paquet de chips et petite bouteille de vin offerts en chambre, petites crêpes ou pancakes surprises au petit déjeuner, petit présent offert lors de notre départ). Elle a aussi été très réactive à nos quelques demandes. La chambre dispose de toutes les facilités appréciables (machine à café soluble, sèche-cheveux, petits nécessaire de toilette). Un séjour dont nous ne retenons que du positif merci !

Fantastische B&B! France de eigenaar was geweldig — supervriendelijk, heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was top! We kregen ook eieren aangeboden, en er was veel variatie. Er is een gezellige gedeelde woonkamer met fruit, koffie, thee, water en nog meer. Echt een aanrader als je in de buurt bent!

Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, heerlijke verse koffie, vers fruit, heerlijke pannenkoekjes speciaal voor ons bereid. In een ontspannen sfeervolle ruimte.

Gastvrije ontvangst in mooie B&B met heerlijk ontbijt.

Prima kamer met heerlijk ontbijt. De gastvrouw zorgde voor allerlei extra's en maakte dat je je welkom voelde. Mooie tuin erbij waar je heerlijk aan een klein beekje kunt zitten. En heerlijk geslapen en gedoucht!

De vriendelijkheid, heerlijk ontbijt met grote keuze, persoonlijke attenties (flesje water en wijn op de kamer), dagelijkse aanvulling van handdoeken en toiletartikelen in de badkamer ... Elke vraag naar info over bezienswaardigheden en restaurants wordt met de glimlach beantwoord.

4 camere in un posticino carino e rustico, arredato in modo... Originale! Buona colazione inclusa e completa di tutto, frutta e tante altre cose offerte gratis, molto apprezzate. Bagno spazioso e completo di tutto, parcheggio riservato un po' sulla strada.

Il wifi non prendeva quasi per niente la camera era un po' storta, non in piano, le scale per arrivarci sono molto ripide e strette.

De locatie was prima. Het ontbijt was voortreffelijk, heel gastvrije ontvangst. De kamer was ruim genoeg, in alles voorzien, goede / fijne facaliteiten: douch, toilet, koffie, etc. etc.

Exceptionnel dans tout les sens du terme. Lieu, proximité, cadre, logement, commodité……et surtout un accueil chaleureux et convivial. Une attention particulière à tout les détails. Motards……allez-y sans réfléchir, même pour nos montures, tout est prévu. Merci merci et encore pour ce petit bijoux

Ils étaient très accueillant ! À l’écoute de nos demandes, ils proposent des folders avec différentes activités. Très bien placé proche de Durbuy. Le déjeuner etait très bon et fait maison pour certaines choses ! Endroit très chaleureux nous reviendrons. Merci à France pour son hospitalité , une femme très souriante

Gastvrijheid en de rust achter de B&B, met een kabbelend beekje als hoogtepunt. Heel erg leuk

De accommodatie is best gehorig en de deuren zijn laag voor een vent van 187cm lang.. Maar dat is te natuurlijk ook te verwachten; het is immers in een karakteristiek en ouder pand gevestigd

Vriendelijk ontvangst, service. lekker ontbijt Mogelijkheid om een fris drankje te kopen. Mogelijkheid om achteraan bij rivier op een terrasje te zitten onder een parasol. Er zijn 4 ruime kamers met alle nodige voorzieningen (Chambre blanc, gris, brun et vert)

Er is extra airco koeling voorzien via de gang want het kan warm zijn in de zomer de kamers zijn nogal donker, kleine raam

Chouette situation, maison charmante et chaleureuse. Le jardin est un havre de paix et de calme. Générositée est le mot d ordre. Nous avons été gâté et rempli de petites attentions, notamment dans la chambre, comme nous n en avons encore jamais eu. Propretée irréprochable. Et les hôtes sont d une gentillesse...

Leuke locatie aan een riviertje, maar ook pal aan een doorgaande weg. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. We werden ontvangen met een klein flesje wijn op het terras bij het riviertje.

De locatie, de kamer en de gastvrijheid van de eigenaar. Het is allemaal superschoon en netjes. Op de kamer koffie/thee naar keuze, flesje water en een snack. De badkamer is ook keurig verzorgd met diverse toiletartikelen.
