quaint
It was cold therefore I had to buy several nets of logs and kindling for the log fire burner.Even though there was central heating there it wasn’t adequate.
This added a significant amount to the holiday cost.I managed the stairs many would not.

The cottage is lovely. Not for tall people but luckily I am 5'6". Really homely and in a great location.
Bed needs a new mattress. That is my only bit of negative feedback. Lost count of how many times I banged my head but that became funny.

Kooky cottage was a lovely quirky grade 2 cosy cottage, perfect for a short stay for 2
The lack of a gate on the front yard as we had our 2 dogs with us and it also needed a little bit of talc

beautiful log burner and bathroom clean.
filthy dirty sofa bed. Cobwebs throughout.
smoke alarm bleeping from arrival until following day. Had zero sleep and had to sleep down stairs due to alarm. Sofa bed very uncomfortable. Rang to complain and someone turned up after 7pm to change alarm battery when we were trying to relax!! no prior warning anyone was coming either. no call back when complained. Treated appallingly and customer service was shocking!!!

Loved this little cottage. The stairs were not for the faint hearted but it all added to its charm. Very well thought through - everything there that you could possibly need. Warm and comfortable. Easy walk into town. Would definitely stay again.
Cant think of anything!

The cottage is really nice and clean! It is in a great location and we were always able to find parking on the street. There were a lot of travel information leaflets and guides available in the cottage, which was useful. Overall, a great place and I would definitely stay there again!
I sent a couple of messages and an email to the property but they did not reply. So I had to eventually call. The staircases, door frames and shower were a bit low so we had to keep on ducking.

Location, quirky, comfy and cosy
Friendly locals. I would recommend!
Stairs are not good for people over 6ft! Or for people with bad knees / mobility.
Car parking was a struggle as street very narrow

my wife and i loved the location and we liked the cottage with its original features
We did not like the staircase i feel it was lacking a hand rail attached to the walls all it had was broom handles fixed upright to the stairs it was very dangerous.

The cottage itself has been nicely updated inside and everything was fresh and we'll maintained. Despite it's small size (it is a cottage!) And low ceilings the rooms didn't feel small or claustrophobic.
It has a lot of character and charm, while only being a short walk from the town centre the road itself was very quiet and peaceful.
The internal stairs were very difficult to navigate with the steps being different lengths, depths, and uneven, with a very low ceiling above.
Perhaps understandable given the age of the property (1850s cottage) but it should have been mentioned in the description as I had to literally bend over double (I'm only 6ft1) to descend from the front room to the kitchen.
The windows also leave privacy in the bedroom and bathroom at a minimum when changing.
