The hot tub was completely private and available 24-7. The staff had placed bunting with happy anniversary written on it inside which was a lovely touch.
The rose and petals on the bed were plastic. A real rose Woukd have been nice, but we’d have preferred nothing as opposed to plastic.

I enjoyed the Hot tub which had a roof and TV. Cabin itself was cosy and warm and looked nice.
The Wi-fi was terrible. Kept dropping connection and could not get through anything other than Netflix which also kept buffering every few minutes. The location also was probably the worst part, unfortunately we got cabin no13, which is away from the other 12 cabins (which were better positioned had a much better views) and we were in the one cabin sitting out front on the field right in front of the main complex and road entrance into the place. Lots of traffic with cars driving by and loud music until early hours of the morning with the main restaurant being right next to it. This massively took away from the experience and not remote at all. Lack of food delivery options and menus in cabin, The Pizza palace they recommend on their website does not do online delivery and cash only. Hot Tub was also very cold after 30 minutes being in it, we had to eventually get out as it was too cold compared to other hot tubs we have been too at past cabins.

It really does make a difference when a place gets the little things right. A covered hot tub means you’re not at the mercy of the weather, and having a TV out there turns it into a whole cosy experience rather than just a soak.
I recently stayed at Ballyness Farm and, while the setting is lovely and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, several parts of the experience were disappointing.
The pod itself was very clean, but it felt much smaller in real life than it appears in the photos. The bed was also far too small and uncomfortable . I could feel the springs, which made it difficult to get a proper night’s sleep.
Heating was another issue. The only source of heat was an electric fire, which was extremely noisy. I had to turn it off at night, and once it was off, the pod became absolutely freezing. It made the nights very uncomfortable.
I was also surprised to find that guests can’t use the on‑site bar facilities whenever a function is taking place. As a paying guest, it felt unfair to be restricted from areas that should normally be available.
The hot tub was another let‑down, as the water looked cloudy and didn’t feel clean or inviting.
It’s a real shame, because the staff are lovely and the place has so much potential. Unfortunately, the facilities and features didn’t live up to what was advertised, and that affected the overall quality of the stay

Hot tub was freezing and been sick for 2 weeks after
Completely not as advertised and disgust by response from staff about our experience there. Went for relaxing break would have been better in a tent in back garden

Please provide a coffee machine in the rooms 😀

The huts were well equipped and having your own personal hot tub was great

The shepherds hut and personal hot tube was amazing. We did get disturbed a little by maintenance cleaning out the hot tub our first morning. And we're unable to get enough wifi to watch TV in the hot tube. Other huts seemed to be able to, so it may have been a usage issue or maybe because our hot was furthest away. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The facilities could have been better. The shower struggled to provide enough not water for a shower. I'm assuming because it was so cold. Also there was no hot water in the bathroom or kitchen sinks. We had to boil a kettle. A little microwave would be a useful addition. The hut was very warm and cosy.
I think our hut would need the mattress changed as it was quite lumpy.
Having said that we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay very much. The views form the nuts were amazing.
Faster wifi, hot water and a new mattress.

Loved the atmosphere — the overall setup was absolutely fabulous!
The power tripped a few times when in the hot tub and watching TV. Aside from that, the only minor issue was that the Pringles had already been opened and finished lol!

It was a very cute concept. The views are stunning and the sunset was beautiful as the cabin looks right at this. The woman at the reception was lovely, super friendly!!
Huts are closer together than they look in pictures (unless you’re lucky enough to get hut number 1,2 or 9). Been to other shepherds huts that are better value for money. The hut was freezing when we first went in and took a while to heat up with the electric stove (would’ve been better if this was turned on prior). Only one side of the hot tub jets were working & one of the head rests was broken & floating in the hot tub and one of the black controls for the jets on the side was broken but had been placed on. The water in the hut for dishes and the shower wouldn’t stay warm after 2minutes. Maybe this was all just a fault with our hut and other huts may be different.

Our hut was in a great location and not overlooked. The hot tub is fully covered with a TV mounted which was a great bonus! I would definitely return here again.

The entire resort was absolutely fantastic, it's situated in such a beautiful part of the countryside, the huts are fabulous for a lovely relaxing getaway, we will definitely return to them again.
Whilst there was a most welcome bottle of wine and tea and coffee there was no milk left, would have been great not to have to leave again to buy some, just a small fault, also some kind of tongs for prodding the firepit would be needed, again a small thing...

Shepard's huts at ballyness was our favourite place we stayed so far. Lovely staff, comfortable and warm hut. Hot tub was lovely to relax in after touring around all day and being able to have cocktails delivered was a wonderful touch.
Having milk, tea, coffee and sugar was lovely too. All the comforts. We cannot wait to come back again.

Eveuthinh was perfect. The little touches like the milk, water and crisps left on arrival was thoughtful. The hot tub was amazing !! Would 100% stay here again.
Nothing. Only suggestion would be to signpost the property on approaching roads as found it difficult to find.

Nothing
Everything was very small for family of 3 and a dog, very open to others walking past especially as a family you’d think it would be more secluded and private with hot tub seemed that all the other huts had that and the dog and family one never and you’d think it would be other way about, I was raining you couldn’t enjoy hot tub everyone else seems like the could cause it was fenced in with sides on it and windows mine was just a roof so sitting in hot tub get freezing cold rain sweeped in on you is a terrible experience NUMBER 8 shepherds hut is terrible

We had a fantastic stay at Ballyness Shepherds Huts! My family, including our dog, loved every minute, especially my son who couldn’t get enough of the private hot tub. The fire pit was perfect for cozy evenings, and the facilities were excellent. The host was incredibly pleasant and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway!

Hot tub is a winner, and appreciated the logs and facilities for open fire and bbq. More space than expected. Appreciated the croissants, wine and other supplies. Hut is nice and cosy.
No wine glasses, distance to carry luggage and self-catering supplies, suggest having some camping trolley carts on hand.

It was filthy , used condom in the garden , oil splatter in cabin , cobwebs and dust everywhere , windows look like they were never cleaned

The views were out of this world! Was well worth booking the Mountain View Hut to enjoy the sunset from the hot tub. It felt so private and honestly the most relaxing spot we’ve ever stayed at (we actually tried to book for a 2nd night as we didn’t want to leave). Very cute touches upon arrival of little heart chocolates on the bed, complimentary bubbles and croissant/ cereal breakfast. Loved the whole farmhouse vibe and cute decor. The sauna was probably the best one we’ve ever used overlooking the beautiful fields & mountains, and of course have to mention the baby Shetlands (omg so cute)! Thank you for such a wonderful stay, we will 1000% be returning.
As much as we absolutely loved our visit, we spent a lot of time trying to locate things before we could relax (Wi-Fi, fire logs, drinkware etc). Very poor communication from host when we reached out multiple times which was quite disappointing. It felt like we were left to our own devices to figure things out. All of the info was in the check-in instructions which was only sent 45 mins prior to arrival, so due to us travelling there at that time with no signal it didn’t come through until hours into our stay when we finally found someone to get Wi-Fi password - it would have been so much more helpful to have this sent the day before. This would be our only negative however.

everything, I will recommend it to everyone. Stunning location, very quiet. We didn't want to leave
Mattress was slightly uncomfortable but then I do think this is always going to be a personal preference for someone and impossible to get right for everyone's taste

Loved the location, nice and peaceful. Spacious hot tubs, covered in was a bonus. Huts were very clean and had everything you would need and beautifully set up.
TV didn't load, poor WiFi connection, no food on site or not anywhere that delivered near by. No cocktails, not a fully functioning bar (said by the staff).

Had an amazing stay at the Ballyness Shepherds hut. The huts are lovely, very cosey, clean & tidy, the hot tubs are big and spacious. There were lovely wee added touches when we stayed such as complimentary bbq, champagne etc.
We viewed the wedding part of the venue and it’s absolutely stunning, this would be such a beautiful place for a wedding.
The staff were all lovely and very welcoming & helpful. Special shout out to Connor and Gary for their excellent customer service.
Highly recommend to others and will definitely be open to staying here again in the future.
