Just what we needed to celebrate our ten year anniversary
The hot tub was completely private and available 24-7. The staff had placed bunting with happy anniversary written on it inside which was a lovely touch.
The rose and petals on the bed were plastic. A real rose Woukd have been nice, but we’d have preferred nothing as opposed to plastic.

    Meh
I enjoyed the Hot tub which had a roof and TV. Cabin itself was cosy and warm and looked nice.
The Wi-fi was terrible. Kept dropping connection and could not get through anything other than Netflix which also kept buffering every few minutes. The location also was probably the worst part, unfortunately we got cabin no13, which is away from the other 12 cabins (which were better positioned had a much better views) and we were in the one cabin sitting out front on the field right in front of the main complex and road entrance into the place. Lots of traffic with cars driving by and loud music until early hours of the morning with the main restaurant being right next to it. This massively took away from the experience and not remote at all. Lack of food delivery options and menus in cabin, The Pizza palace they recommend on their website does not do online delivery and cash only. Hot Tub was also very cold after 30 minutes being in it, we had to eventually get out as it was too cold compared to other hot tubs we have been too at past cabins.

Honest Review of My Stay at Ballyness
It really does make a difference when a place gets the little things right. A covered hot tub means you’re not at the mercy of the weather, and having a TV out there turns it into a whole cosy experience rather than just a soak.
I recently stayed at Ballyness Farm and, while the setting is lovely and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, several parts of the experience were disappointing. The pod itself was very clean, but it felt much smaller in real life than it appears in the photos. The bed was also far too small and uncomfortable . I could feel the springs, which made it difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. Heating was another issue. The only source of heat was an electric fire, which was extremely noisy. I had to turn it off at night, and once it was off, the pod became absolutely freezing. It made the nights very uncomfortable. I was also surprised to find that guests can’t use the on‑site bar facilities whenever a function is taking place. As a paying guest, it felt unfair to be restricted from areas that should normally be available. The hot tub was another let‑down, as the water looked cloudy and didn’t feel clean or inviting. It’s a real shame, because the staff are lovely and the place has so much potential. Unfortunately, the facilities and features didn’t live up to what was advertised, and that affected the overall quality of the stay

Take your money promise compromise and don’t deliver paid over £200 when complained told we would get £30 of next stay w
Hot tub was freezing and been sick for 2 weeks after
Completely not as advertised and disgust by response from staff about our experience there. Went for relaxing break would have been better in a tent in back garden

    We will definitely be back
The huts were well equipped and having your own personal hot tub was great

Enjoyed our stay but was I think expensive.
The shepherds hut and personal hot tube was amazing. We did get disturbed a little by maintenance cleaning out the hot tub our first morning. And we're unable to get enough wifi to watch TV in the hot tube. Other huts seemed to be able to, so it may have been a usage issue or maybe because our hot was furthest away. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The facilities could have been better. The shower struggled to provide enough not water for a shower. I'm assuming because it was so cold. Also there was no hot water in the bathroom or kitchen sinks. We had to boil a kettle. A little microwave would be a useful addition. The hut was very warm and cosy. I think our hut would need the mattress changed as it was quite lumpy. Having said that we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay very much. The views form the nuts were amazing.
Faster wifi, hot water and a new mattress.

    Great night away! 🫶🏼
Loved the atmosphere — the overall setup was absolutely fabulous!
The power tripped a few times when in the hot tub and watching TV. Aside from that, the only minor issue was that the Pringles had already been opened and finished lol!
