We had a wonderful few days in Matera with our family. The property is newly refurbished to a very high standard and felt both elegant and comfortable throughout our stay. The spaces are excellent, and the rooms are spacious and very well designed. The lift was a real bonus and made the stay especially easy and comfortable for the older members of our family. Breakfast was very good, both in quality and variety. The staff truly made the difference: Roberta was fantastic at breakfast, and Paolo and Brunella at reception were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel has been newly refurbished and everything feels modern, fresh, and spotlessly clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with nice touches like a kettle for tea and coffee on a pull out lighting table.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, offering great recommendations for local restaurants, local dishes and things to do in the area. They offered a welcome drink in the roof top bar which was nice. We wanted tea as we were feeling cold after watching the sunset in a windy hill at the end of October and the staff went the extra mile to get us our hot drinks to the roof top.
The staff also offered information prior arrival on where to park, both private paid parking and free.
We parked at the Parcheggio Via Carlo Levi which was free and 850m away, a 15 min walk.
The breakfast bar was decent, and I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad which was delicious.
Overall, we had a great stay with excellent service and comfort. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay again.
The hotel doesn’t have a 24h desk, but you are given instructions on how to access the hotel when front desk is closed.
