MAKTVB COSTANERA Hostel Boutique cerca del Mall Costanera Center Providencia

We stayed for two weeks at MAKTVB Costanera during the junior world cup of field hockey where the Dutch team where my daugther plays, won the golden medal! We really felt at home in the hostal. We (my husband and two sons) had the two rooms on the first floor that gave us the privacy we needed. They were clean and especially our room with the balcony was large. We loved our stay, every day we could eat/BBQ in the garden, the personel was very nice, they kept our rooms and the garden and the house very clean. Most of the other guest were friendly as well. We even met the owner and his wif and daughter. That was very nice, also to hear the story of the hostals they own. The neighbourhood was safe, friendly and very nice. Close to Cerro Cristobal. My Son and I did a lot of running. From 5 to 29 km! We loved it.

The location

General maintenance is lacking. The stairs and bathroom require the most attention. The stairs can be dangerous for less agile people because they have loose rungs. Something basic and unacceptable is the odors in the bathroom. The balcony railing is dangerous.

I liked the location and the tranquility of the neighborhood.

The room was very small and lacked air conditioning, making it very hot inside. The shower water was impossible to regulate, fluctuating between extremely cold and extremely hot. Upon arrival, we were unable to access the room as the self-check-in instructions had not been sent. Furthermore, the breakfast options were quite poor.
