We had a truly wonderful family holiday.

Everything! The host was most kind and responsive. Even before we arrived, all queries were answered and we were reassured. Arrival instructions were very clear. Whilst there, we had asked for logs to make a log fire and this was delivered the next day, in abundance! The property is so beautifully decorated and comfortably accommodated our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 teenagers). The kitchen/ house was fully equipped.

Noisy boiler, squeaky stairs and interior doors

Such a shame. House was lovely inside and very well maintained, but we all were kept awake during the night by the noisy boiler (?) - a most disconcerting and loud noise. In all four rooms. Also, the stairs were incredibly squeaky and all doors noisy when opening and shutting, especially the sliding door to the toilet at the top of the stairs.

The price was too high during Christmas time; also, they do not have a cancellation option or the option to change dates. The stairs and the floor on the second floor were too noisy.

A brilliant house which I would wholeheartedly reccommend

Really nice house, well furnished with great facilities for cooking/washing/relaxing etc. The perfect place for a stay whether an international visitor (like us) or people looking for a stay within the UK. Very comfy bedding and an abundance of space in all the rooms, would wholeheartedly reccomend.

Fantastic house that accommodated our family well. The location in Tomintoul village was wonderful.

Perhaps a bigger fridge given we were a large family, but that wasn't particularly an issue.

Very good location in Tomintoul. All mod cons with loads of extras and super clean..

Very Clean and the heating was on for our arrival. Linen and towels were all top quality. Lots of extras, like washing up liquid and cleaning materials, bin bags etc.

Just a couple of minor things. Fridge door shelves were broken and missing. Kitchen Chairs needed a couple of screws, Front door key was not as stated in instructions.

Location was ideal even though it's a small village. Self catering. Modern and spacious. We were a party of 8 adult ladies and didn't feel the least bit overcrowded.

Superb

The house is very well located, very close to the central square of Tomintoul, with its hotels, brilliant restaurant (the Clockhouse), village store and tourist office. Our family of eight found the house very spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed the nearby scenic walks on the Glenlivet Estate.

Excellent and highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely lovely accommodation, clean, warm, spacious, modern and very relaxing. We spent a week at Christmas and the host put us up a little Christmas tree which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend a stay here, especially for families young and old. The kitchen area was lovely with a great big table, It had most things for cooking except oven trays. The clothes airier was fab for drying damp snow clothes and there were plenty of games in the cupboard to play. The house was warm with Netflix's and WIFI and plenty of space for our family of 6 to relax. The local area is beautiful with plenty of walks to be had and only 15 mins from a ski lift. Situated around the corner from the center of the village it has onsite parking out back which was ideal, we would stay again.

Comfy, cosy base for Highland holiday.

Tombeck was an excellent base for our holiday in the Highlands. We were 20 minutes from the Lecht ski area, just over an hour from Glenshee, and the same to Cairngorm, so it was ideally located to move around depending on where the best snow was. It was so comfy and cosy, and was really like a home away from home. The beds were comfy and bed linen and towels were very high quality. The furnishings were all excellent, stylish and functional. There were a number of little touches which we really appreciated and made us feel at home, like Yankee Candles, Bose speakers, Nespresso machine (with selection of pods)and AppleTV. The kitchen was fully equipped with good quality cutlery and crockery and had everything we needed when we cooked at home. Having three bathrooms was perfect for us, and they were all well appointed. It really is as lovely as it looks in the photographs. There was ample off-street private parking, the street was very quiet (despite the location opposite a primary school) and it’s only a minute’s walk to the local Post Office and shop. We ate out at the local pub and the food and banter were excellent. All in all, very highly recommended!

Großes Haus mit guter Lage

Ein schönes großes Haus mit insgesamt vier Schlafzimmern und drei Badezimmern. Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen dort und hatten also mehr als genug Platz. Holz für den Kamin haben wir im örtlichen Laden gekauft. Ansonsten ist alles recht schön eingerichtet. Die Lage war für uns super. Wir haben einiges besucht und in kurzer Fußreichweite gab es einen tollen Waldspielplatz mit guten Möglichkeiten für einen ausgedehnten Spaziergang.

Es wäre schön wenn ein klein wenig Holz für die erste Feuerung zur Verfügung stünde. In der Küchenausstattung hat uns ein wenig was gefehlt. Schön wäre wenn grundsätzlich Salz und Pfeffer vorhanden wären.
