Fabulous!

An absolute gem. Clean, updated studio flat right in the heart of Bologna. I lived in Bologna for two years, and can attest you won't find a better bang for your buck. Sar May is a stone's throw -- two blocks -- from the due torri and conveniently nestled between two main streets (Strada Maggiore and San Vitale), putting most attractions within a 15 minute walking radius. Most other hotels or flats would cost 3-4x what I paid during the busy October season. The flat itself is current and modern, with a full kitchen (including coffee machine), air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom (including bidet). The host was flexible and easy to communicate, both in advance and during my stay. I had no problems finding the keys during check in, and the apartment itself is quite secure. I will absolutely stay here again on my next visit!

Only downside was that the bed/pillows were not the most comfortable, but it didn't impact my overall stay or impression of Sar May. There was also a little bit of traffic noise early in the mornings, but that is to be expected in centro.

No windows, at all. To get any sunlight in, there was a need to open an actual door in the bedroom, that opened to the alley.

Fantastic location in Bologna!

Good apartment in Bologna. Amazing location and comfortable bed. Spacious and well equipped.

There was no window (or the window was a door to the street which felt uncomfortable to have open as two young women). This made our longer four night stay feel a bit tedious!

The apartment was nice and well-equipped, the location was excellent, but accessing it with a stroll

The apartment was clean and well-equipped, but I’d like to mention something for those traveling with a stroller or who may have difficulty with stairs. Although the apartment is located on the ground floor, there are a few steps to go up and one small staircase to go down to reach the entrance. The entrance itself is also a bit narrow, which made it a little difficult to get the stroller in and out. This wouldn’t be an issue if you’re not traveling with a stroller, but it’s something to keep in mind.

Great location, well organized, very modern furnishings, and an excellent bed.

The Sar May Apartments in Bologna were fantastic. Paolo did a great job preparing for our arrival—he was very kind and even came by in person. He also recommended some nearby restaurants. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. The shower was huge and very pleasant, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything was spotless. Parking was also well organized for us at a nearby hotel, just a five-minute walk from the apartment. Everything went smoothly and perfectly. I can definitely recommend it.

In the hallway and in the room, there was a slight smell of onions when the window had been closed for a while. But it wasn‘t a big deal - once you aires it out, the smell was gone.

Very good location, 20 meters from the tower.

The keys are left in a perfectly understandable, clear and safe manner. You can pick up the keys at any time, no matter when you arrive. It's very convenient!

Since we came for work, the internet was very important, but it was bad. But... since the internet was bad, we (workaholics) went to explore the city, walked a lot. Otherwise, we probably would have worked. So I don't know if that's a minus :)

Modern apt for two, for short stay, very convenient to restaurants and about 1.8 km ish to train station

Multiple locked doors to get in , did have window which could be opened, we didn’t as wouldn’t leave open and needed aircon with heat. But very minor. Bed really firm, hard, one of us loved it other didn’t at all.

Ideal Bologna city break base!

The studio is modern, clean and comfortable throughout. It is ideally located right in the heart of Bologna Centrale but on a quiet side street - so great for a peaceful night's sleep! The host was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Not really an issue - but the studio window has a ground floor sliding security door for protection, which was complicated to open and lock - so we kept it closed for most of our stay.

Location can’t be beat, plus being able to do laundry and have a full kitchen was excellent.

Really dark. No natural light but it’s on the street level so security is an issue… You had to open a giant steel door for any light and then people could see in. Not really that big of a deal…. Just different.

Nice place, but when dealing with individual units like this one, it would be very useful to be able to count with a more professional invoice for travel reporting purposes. After request, I received a very uninformative hand-written generic receipt, not useful for work purposes.

nice apartment,but super noisy

ground floor apartment , it was super loud ,so be prepared not to sleep at least until 3pm,earplugs didn’t help .windows are not soundproof . usually I don’t have problems with noise to fall asleep,but this was beyond loud ,literally young ppl were drinking next to you window with all the buzz , loud party people passing this street non stop

very clean, great location.

absolutely lovely apartment within 5 minutes walk from piazza maggiore. didn’t meet Paolo as I got in late and left early but he had my keys arranged to be picked up and a taxi booked for me back to the airport. he was also helpful with where to eat and we tried a few of his recommendations and they were on point. if I’m ever back in Bologna again I’ll be staying here

Great apartment , great location , beautiful city

Lovely apartment good size for the two of us, clean ,comfortable bed, and a fantastic shower! Situated in a perfect location with easy access to the local restaurants and sights. The host Paulo was great , arrived on time to hand over the keys and loose us in, gave us a list of good restaurants to visit we can definitely recommend Robertos. Being able to use the washer and dryer was brilliant .We would stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting to spend time in Bologna.

Some plumbing work had to be carried out which was on the morning we were leaving. Unfortunately it was unavoidable however it spoiled our last day as we had a team of plumbers in the apartment from 8.30am

Excellent Enjoyable Super Apartment

Our host Ale was amazing, very easy to contact and very helpful with everything we needed. Booked our taxi for returning to the train station which was so handy. Nothing was any bother. We had a double apartment which worked out really well for a family of 5.

First night was a little noisy on the street but that was a one off.

prime location good apartment and nice owner

The apartment we received is very nice, spacious, beautifully renovated, decorated and clean. The room is large, a spacious and comfortable kitchen and a great bathroom. The location of the apartment is really perfect in the heart of Bologna. Paolo the owner is very helpful and helped in everything he could. He waited for us on the main street and took us to the apartment (and it's a good thing because otherwise we would have had a hard time finding the apartment which is located in a really small street) and then he drove with us to the parking lot which was also really hard to find without Paolo's help. The only problem why we didn't give the maximum score is that the room we were given was not at all similar to the room shown in the photos on the website and the level of the room we received was slightly lower than what was shown on the website.

Exceptional

Super location with great host. We liked the convenient location close to restaurants and many great places to visit. Largest shower we had in multiple B&B. Walked to many museums and fantastic restaurants.

There is a bar next door. Was not a big problem but sound does infiltrate this apartment a good bit. Might be a little aggravating for some but was fine for us. I would not consider this a quiet location with traffic and people noise.

Nice accommodation in the very heart of Bologna

We found the apartment pretty much as described, it meets contemporary European standards interior wise. So it looks and feels comfortable and clean. Paolo was a kind and helpful host, Check-in and everything went smoothly . The apartment is located in the very heart of Bologna, so you couldn't be more central. It's just a few steps from everything you could wish for.

The parking situation is a bit tricky, there's no private parking, other than it says in the description. We parked in a garage outside the traffic limited zone and took a taxi to the apartment. And there's a bar and a disco right next to the ground floor apartment, with partying people passing or hanging around right before the windows. If you're sensitive to noises, that's what you should be aware of.
