The Old Sunday School

We absolutely adored our stay here — what a fantastic house! It has such a wonderful, relaxing feel and is even bigger and more impressive than we expected. It’s beautifully designed, full of gorgeous art and interesting little artefacts, and feels both stylish and incredibly comfortable. The house is exceptionally well equipped, with three bathrooms, a fabulous roll-top bath, beautiful-quality linen, a double oven, double fridge/freezer, BBQ and a brilliant separate laundry room — perfect for a big family or group. The location is also fantastic for biking and exploring the Forest of Dean, with the local shop and pharmacy just nearby. Honestly, we were talking about coming back with friends and rebooking within minutes of arriving! A really special place that we would happily recommend and can’t wait to return to.

The property was lovely. It was well maintained, and everything was thoughtfully laid out.

The two biggest improvements that would significantly enhance the overall experience would be the addition of blackout blinds and air conditioning. Unfortunately, due to the hot weather, we found the property extremely warm at night, which made it difficult to sleep. Air conditioning would make a huge difference during the warmer months. The fans were pretty useless to be honest Although the bedrooms have curtains, they do very little to block out the early morning light. As a result, the rooms were bright from around 5:30-6:00 am, waking us all up much earlier than we would have liked. Installing blackout blinds would make a significant difference and greatly improve the comfort of future guests. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the property. With these two additions, it would be an exceptional place to stay.

Lovely spaceous accommodation very tastefully prepared and presented. Made a great meeting place for a grown up family. Outdoor space was available for more clenment weather - we stayed in December so not many barbecues or outdoor drinks enjoyed - but everything was available to do so. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bream is a lived in rural village with obviously a thriving local community. Very friendly residents - even the sheep graszing on the main street. Glorious Forest of Dean all around with loads of outdoor activities.
