We were very happy with the hotel and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

We had an evening meal and lunch. Food was very good and service excellent. The medallions of Beef were exceptional.

Someone in the room above got a shower or bath at 5am one day and the noise was quite loud. I can’t see what could be done about this except people not showering till after 7am🙂

Beds were so comfy..ample sized heated bathrooms and the staff were so friendly. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a good weekend away its in an amazing location too.

Another good week-end stay at the KIngsway hotel.

I have stayed several times at the Kingsway while visiting family in Lincolnshire . It has an excellent location on the seafront and is easily accessible from Cleethorpes railway station, if you travel by train, although there is also adequate parking at the hotel. This time I booked a single room which, although not having a sea view, was very comfortabale, well-lit, and spotlessly clean. On arrival, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful and assisted me with my luggage, as the lift was out-of-order. They were also very helpful in ordering me a taxi when required and answering one or two other queries. The restaurant and room service menus offer plenty of choice and the meals I ordered were superb.

The lift was out-of- order during my stay this time and the stairs are rather steep. However, I am sure that this will soon be remedied.

Receptionist wasn't helpful. It was a bit of challenge to find our room and I comeback to reception and asked to show where's our room. But Receptionist wasn't ready to help. 205 pounds for a night and paint coming of the wall? Overrated and over priced hotel. Also Internet didn't work at all

Refurbishment has worked well. All areas are fresh and inviting. Staff unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Evening meal equally good. "Light Bites" sandwich for lunch was very nice if a bit expensive at £10 for a ham sandwich with crisps and threepence worth of salad.

On one evening, at about 21:00, I waited 20 mins at the bar for someone to turn up to serve me. Either increased staffing or a bell push at the bar to alert staff would work. Similarly, on another early evening I had to go into the dining room to find someone to get me my room key; just not quite enough staff.

Lovely hotel with old fashioned luxury.

Lovely big room with great views. Spotlessly clean. The whole hotel is always spotless. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful, only one person a bit unhelpful. Meal in the restaurant was delicious and breakfast menu was good and food came out piping hot. Would definitely stay again.

Drinks in the bar were somewhat overpriced, £14 for a pint of beer. Otherwise cannot fault the hotel or the bulk of the staff.

Beautifully Traditional Hotel

A very comfortable, quiet traditional hotel, with friendly and impeccably efficient staff. We had a newly refurbished spotless room with very comfortable beds, modern bathroom and a fabulous estuary view. Breakfast was waiter served and tasty with lots of choice. Parking was a bonus and the comfortable bar and lounge provided a quiet spot for reading, chatting with a drink or just soaking up more of those lovely views.

A proper hotel where you are looked after from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave.

A proper hotel... very friendly and welcoming reception, no long check in process. Lovely room and big walk in shower. Not many places have a night porter on all night these days, but the Kingsway does and not many hotels say that residents can have a drink at any time, but the Kingsway does. Breakfast was excellent and served properly at your table. Staff were fantastic, they were extremely attentive, friendly and polite, despite being very busy.

Right on the seafront with nice view. Bit noisy but double glazing worked well. Best hotel bathroom design we’ve seen for some time. Room and bathroom appeared newly refurbished. Two comfortable chairs in the bay window to watch the promenade. Easy parking.

Could have done with wider bed but it was comfortable.

Too hot to handle

Room was a good size, clean and comfortable

Had to have windows open as it was hot and there isn't air conditioning. It was noisy until about 2am and then there was a delivery at 7am just below our room window. Not a restful stay. Although for a hotel this age it is not economically viable, it would benefit from A.C Would not recommend stopping in rooms that require the windows open

An excellent stay better than we expected.

The breakfast was excellent. My wife only wanted Continental & I had full English. Both were of a very good standard.

This is no fault of the hotel at all but the boy racers on the main road outside the hotel made so much noise from about 7pm onwards that it was horrendous. The sumped up cars & noise from motor bikes meant we couldn't have the windows open & the weather was very hot.
