About this house rental

Our wilderness cabin is the perfect place to get away and disconnect. Down a dirt road and deep in the woods with national forest on two sides of the property. The cabin is in a small clearing near the middle of the 10 acres. The rolling landscape has mature hardwoods and two short walking trails. Miles of dirt, seasonal and forest roads surround the cabin.

The cabin:
Two bedroom one bath cabin with heat, water, electricity, and a full kitchen. The cabin has one queen bed in the master bedroom and a twin over twin bunkbed with an additional twin trundle bed in the other. The open concept living room and kitchen allows for meal prep and eating to be social and connected.

The land:
More than a mile from the nearest paved road and 800 acres of National Forest on two sides of the property. The property has a long driveway with a grass clearing. The clearing is the ideal setting for camp fires, lawn games, picnic table meals and enjoying the sounds of nature. The dirt and seasonal roads in the area are perfect for exploring with your side by side, snowmobile, golf cart, hiking, or biking.

The property has a detached bunkhouse that will give you the wilderness camping feel with the comfort of a mattress and electricity. The bunk house is simple: Two bunk beds in a summer camp style lofted cabin. The bunk house is insulated and does have electricity. The only bathroom is in the main cabin.

No pets, no parties, no large gatherings, no events or extra guests allowed. We strive to keep our wilderness cabin and land beautiful and these contract breaking activities make that very difficult.

This is truly a home away from home. It feels like they thought of everything to make your stay as cozy as possibly. We loved it. It was easy to find, check in and stay was explained throughly and we appreciated that. The hiking trail on the property is beautiful in itself and we especially enjoyed morning walks on the trail but the area has lots of parks and trails to adventure too as well. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU!

This property is amazing 10 out of 10! A get away from the city was an understatement. Two friends and I went for a girls trip and we could not have asked for more. Star gazing, camp fire and memories. The only thing I wanted was another day or two to stay. GPS wasn’t 100% accurate and the address was hard to spot but that did not take away from the great time we had. Owner was very responsive as well.

The quiet was the first thing i noticed, all that i could hear was the wind in the trees. Just what i wanted. Make sure you bring a jeep or wilderness all wheel drive, the driveway is a little steep with channels from rain run off, a sedan might hit bottom and get stuck. My Google Fi and AT&T phones had weak service but the cabin has wifi. The fire pit was all ready for me, kindling, logs, and i enjoyed the fire the first night. This is a massive fire pit accommodating 6-9 people and is well stocked with everything. A free Smores package was awaiting inside. There is a picnic table in the yard which i began to dislike because it detracted from the beauty of the back yard. I spent a lot of time on the front porch listening to the forest.Inside, its well upgraded with new windows and appliances. Things i missed: washer and dryer, air conditioning, and dishwasher; but its a cabin in the woods and thats okay. I like the electrical outlets, there are many and easy to access. Its small, so expect one side of the bed against a wall. There was plenty of ice in the freezer which i appreciated. The key is in a lock box on a post facing away from the back door, took me a few minutes to find it. I'll go back next year. Its close to a lot of rivers and lakes. The best grocery store is Housemans in White Cloud, a.10 minute drive. If you are into hiking, i suggest Coolbough and Loda Lake.
