We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this bothy in Lochgilphead. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and thought the owners have put into creating such a special place. They were incredibly welcoming and genuinely couldn’t do enough to help—nothing was too much trouble, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The bothy itself was spotless—beautifully clean, tidy, and exceptionally well presented. The facilities were outstanding, with everything you could possibly need and more. There were so many thoughtful extras that really set it apart and made it feel like a home away from home.
The location is simply stunning—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for switching off and enjoying the surroundings. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing break or a base to explore the area, this place ticks every box.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return and will definitely be recommending it to others. A truly memorable stay—thank you again to the wonderful owners!

Perfect location for travelling to Kenacraig ferry port! We stayed the night before an early ferry and this was ideal! the owners were lovely and accommodation was beautiful. Lovely and clean. It was also stocked up with tea, coffee, snacks and breakfast foods which was so kind! I would highly recommend!!

The location is excellent and the genral Kilmartin area exceptionally beautiful (knew this from previous visits). Location information was very useful and accurate. Parking was OK.
The information provided via Booking.com gave the impression that it was an annexe to the main house: in fact it is a basement beneath it. The description of the accommodation as a 'suite' is misleading: there are two small and dark bedrooms and a very small bathroom. The corridor in between is hardly big enough to sit in: it is simply a corridor/entrance hall. The 'suite' is noisy with the sounds of walking of the owners and family walking around in the rooms above, plus chairs scraping, and loud conversation that comes down a stairwell from the upstairs with only a thin door at the foot of t he internal stairs.
