Mawgan Pads Trevella Crantock

The caravan was lovely, nice little homely touches. The bedding and towels were soft and comfortable. The place is very dog friendly which was great. Very close to Crantock beach which is stunning. We visited St. Michaels Mount and lands end whilst we were there. Only takes an hour to drive down. St Michaels Mount don’t allow dogs this time of year so we never got to the island, but we got some good pictures from the beach. The local town was very pretty and worth a visit.

There was a few signs of wear and tear in the caravan. The bathrooms though very clean are showing signs of water damage. The Shower head in the en-suite was very basic, the full spray option just poured out as opposed to giving a fuller water fall. We went into Newquay for food, such a shame to see like much of the rest of the country how run down it is. I wanted a find a local souvenir/beach shop but I could not find one.

The property wasnt very clean when we arrived. We tried to vacuum when we got there but the vacuum was full of sand and didn’t work very well. For the price they could have provided a tea towel and wash cloth, we had to purchase some. They also could have provided fans. It was incredibly hot and this was the only accommodation we have had in our travels that didn’t provide fans. The main issue was a very strong sewage smell in the early morning and evenings most days. We were told by other park guests this was common. It meant we couldn’t sit outside to eat dinner and had to close all of the windows which meant it was incredibly hot.
