About this cottage rental

Stand alone cottage on a horse property. Located on a scenic hill one mile outside of Eugene. A quiet place to stay. Suitable for two people. One queen bed in the bedroom, one bath, kitchen and laundry. Skylights in the kitchen and bathroom - see the sky and trees from inside. Or take a walk on our 30 acre property, through fields and a restored oak forest, and enjoy panoramic views of the valley, the Three Sisters Mountains (60 miles away), and the starry skies at night.

THIS IS A NO PETS PROPERTY.

The property is fenced and gated. Once you've checked in you get the gate code (and wifi code) and can come and go as you please.

Downtown Eugene and University of Oregon are 15 minutes away. Owners on site

Joy and Bill have a lovely property with beautiful views of the surrounding country side. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. This lovely quiet property is an excellent choice for a single or couple who appreciate a peaceful rural environment. The location is outside the city but close enough to access restaurants and shopping. FYI: The property rules are strict but necessary to protect the environment and should at ALL times be honored and respected by visitors.

Super secluded but yet so close to town. Easy 18ish minute drive to downtown or campus (which are viewable from this hilltop). Everything needed for a restful stay was here on arrival. On the property, we were greeted by the helpful owner, her majestic 3 horses, 2 turkeys with their 15 babies and 2 deer. So happy we found this place.

Joy and Bill went above and beyond as hosts! Aside being lovely to talk to, they also introduced us to their horses, baked us scones, and offered us home-brewed beer and cider. The property has a natural beauty in itself, but is also extremely well-maintained by the hosts. They have a small orchard, beautiful landscaping, and a green house. They clearly put a lot of love into their home and we are grateful they are willing to share with guests! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This is truly one of my very best VRBO experiences ever! The cottage was nestled in a lovely old oak grove with a view of surrounding hills. Ours hosts, Joy and Bill were helpful yet gave us space to enjoy ourselves. We attended the awesome County Fair during the day but this lovely cottage allowed for peaceful respite to unwind and recharge at the end of the day. Certainly recommend and hope to return again.

This is a beautiful little cottage on a horse ranch. Bill and Joy were incredible hosts! They made our stay very enjoyable and were always so helpful in giving us information about the area……. Where to eat, things to do and see. The property around the cottage was so beautiful and peaceful. We always enjoyed a glass of wine in the evening and listened to the birds and watched the deer roam the property. I recommend this property highly.

This cottage was great for our visit to our son's place that was only 4 minutes away. It was located on a beautiful property with horses, a rose garden and forest pine trees. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed including fresh flowers from the rose garden. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating and welcomed us onto their property. They shared some of their favorite restaurants and allowed us to spend some time with their animals. As long as our son is still in the same apartment, we'll be returning here to stay upon our next visit!

The photos in their listing do not do this cottage justice! The accommodations were perfect for my stay. Extremely clean and very well maintained. Close to Eugene and all the fabulous and unique dining options in town. I rode my bike on the Fern Ridge Trail which is very close to the cottage. I was able to ride downtown and explore all the town has to offer. Extremely quiet location.

Joy and Bill were gracious hosts who made sure we had a wonderful time. The check-in process was incredibly smooth, they laid out some snacks and coffee for us and they let us peruse the garden and pasture at our own leisure. It was a perfect little getaway weekend!

Joy is a wonderful host. The cottage is perfect for a couple, it is very clean and comfortable. It is very quiet and just out of the city on a beautiful property that overlooks Eugene. We have stayed here a couple of times and plan to spend more time here when we are in Eugene.

Accommodated who anticipated our every need! Fully stocked kitchen with updated high end appliances. Two refrigerators, as well as washer and dryer. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone traveling solo or who likes being cozy with their traveling partner. I was in town for a 5 day work trip and I could not have picked a better spot to stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and the WiFi was plenty to both stream video while working in the evenings. The property is beautiful and the hosts are amazing. This location is also very convenient to access Eugene and the surrounds without being directly in town. If you are looking at a trip to this area, pick this spot.

I usually don't review items or stays but our stay was absolutely perfect for our needs. The cottage is very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure we were happy at their property. They offered a perfect balance of contact. If you needed them, then they were available if you didn't, then they weren't prying into your business. We stayed for a week and would definitely recommend this pleasant little cottage in the country.

Owners were friendly, helpful and interesting. Cabin had everything and was spotless. The property is lovely and quiet. Nice getaway and not too far for a jaunt to Florence and the Coast. The beach weather was perfect for feet in the sand, Heceta lighthouse, sea lion caves and all all around beautiful countryside travel with trees, rolling hills, moving, still water and wildlife. Easy access to town and country.

My fiancé and I were in awe with the beauty of the property, the cottage was fully equipped, well stocked and comfortable. Her place is conveniently located and directions they offer help to easily find it. Joy and her husband were great hosts and easy to communicate with, and despite our scheduling conflict they were able to work with us and accommodate changes. Would personally come here again!

Had a lovely stay here during the World Athletics Championships! The cabin is really adorable, clean, has everything you need. It's a beautiful and peaceful location - just outside town but only a few minutes from everything there is to do. And I can't say enough about Bill and Joy, they are kind and generous hosts who checked on me and took time to show me around the property. Highly recommended, and I'll be staying here when I come back to Eugene!

I booked this stay last minute after a miscommunication about our travel dates (I blame it on being over 50! lol). We came into town for the incoming Freshman IntroDUCKtion at the U of O (go Ducks 🦆!!) Joy responded quickly every single time and was very accommodating of our 1:30 AM arrival time!! The cottage has every amenity needed and it was such a quiet, serene location. Looking out over the valley and seeing the horses as well as most of Eugene and the Three Sisters from a distance made it a unique experience for my daughter and me. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommend!!!

The owners are kind, caring, and flexible. We were able to check in early and got a nice orientation. They allow guests to roam most of the property, which is beautiful, and checked on us a couple times to ask if we were OK. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It’s in a very quiet peaceful neighborhood but not too far from town. Perfect experience.

I needed a quiet place to get away. Joy and her husband were the most amazing hosts. The property is serene and beautiful and the cottage is everything and more than I expected. We traded crab we caught for vegetables from her garden and homemade plum butter. The horses were majestic and the views to die for. I recommend this place to anyone looking for quiet and tranquility! Thank you both for being such wonderful people. Your place is a hidden jem.

This cottage was a great find! Beautiful location, super kind host and hostess, comfortable & elegant accommodations. Joy anticipated our every need, including having a fruit and cheese plate waiting for us upon our late evening arrival. It was a simple drive into town and the ability to escape back to the peace and quiet of the county each evening was a real treat. The cottage had everything we needed during our 4 night stay.
