La Maisonnette du Thiou - 50 square meters in the heart of Annecy

The location was wonderful but noisy. The property was very pretty and quirky.

The hosts were not very good. Arriving at the property there was no signage of any sort, no concierge as advised and when we finally had someone arrive with a key he did not actually know where it was or how to get in. On departure again there was no direction as to what to do with the keys so had to wait for someone to come for a second time. Lesser issues, the television did not work so someone was sent to fix. Outside seating needed a clean A few things missing from the description, fans, toaster, tioletries. Probably a bit expensive based on everything.

La table de la petite terrasse extérieure était très sale, je l'ai nettoyée. Il semble que cette terrasse ne fait pas partie de la maison mais est un argument important pour la location de la maison. Les abords de la maison sont mal entretenus, déchets par terre, etc.

Die Lage war perfekt mitten im Zentrum der Altstadt.

The location of this small apartment is obviously its main selling point. It is literally in the middle of the old town and having use of that shared patio was fun. Keep in mind tho, it is a shared space and might not be available when you want it. The apartment itself was just OK, and I was happy to only spend two nights there.

The beds were fine, however there were no extra blankets or pillows that would have made it more comfortable. While there are technically two bathrooms, there is only one toilet… downstairs. Fine for whoever is sleeping on the main floor, but a real drag for the people who are sleeping upstairs. No one wants to have to go down two flights of spiral staircase steps in the middle of the night, and then back up. Also, every vacation apartment I’ve ever rented has had some basics for cooking, most have more than I consider the minimum. Not so here. No salt and pepper, oils, or seasoning of any type. Giving the benefit of the doubt, there were empty shakers and bottles — so maybe not replacing or refilling was an oversight.
