I liked the location. The neighborhood is quiet looks pleasant, close to the promenade but not right on the shore. In winter, it’s better not to stay on the front line because of the humidity and the wind. The apartment is cozy, even though the renovation is a bit dated. I really liked the furniture—the table, dresser, and bedside tables were all very functional, roomy, and had a nice look to them. The apartment was very warm overall — except for the nights when I was forced to turn off the boiler, which the heating system depends on.

From the day I moved in, I had issues with the hot water throughout the entire apartment—the pressure was very weak and the water was barely lukewarm. Later, a noise issue with the boiler emerged because the pressure exceeded the limit for this specific model. This noise kept me awake at night, as sounds are amplified during the quiet hours and vibrations travel through the walls. I was forced to turn off the boiler at night just to get some sleep, meaning I had to go without heating even though the nights were quite chilly. Furthermore, the volume of the noise and the high pressure sparked fears of a potential emergency. It took a great deal of effort and several reminders to finally get the problem resolved. Not to mention, the solution was delayed until Monday under the pretext that a technician couldn’t be called out over the weekend—which is not the case for this tourist area. The customer service left a bitter taste, especially considering the price for the apartment is quite high and it was expected that basic needs would be met. The pillows and bed were not very comfortable. As for the kitchenware—while everything necessary was provided—the pans clearly need to be replaced. The surfaces were damaged, making them impossible to cook with. Not to mention, cooking on damaged non-stick coating is a health concern.
