Quinta do Pomar Maior Douro - Porto Carvoeiro

My wife, our two chihuahuas, and I had a wonderful stay at this amazing property, located about 25-30 minutes (depending on traffic) outside of Porto in beautiful surroundings along the Douro River. The air is super fresh, the view is truly spectacular, and it was very cozy to sit on the porch and watch the river boats passing by. The place is incredibly peaceful and private, perfect for unwinding. The house is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with great amenities such as a magical pool, fireplace, 42" smart TV (Netflix, HBO, Disney+, etc.), a BBQ grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, AC/heating in each room, comfortable queensize bed (160 cm wide) and a large outdoor area. The fenced property with a gate made it especially safe and convenient for our dogs. Truly an ideal spot for pets. PS! There are a couple of stray dogs in the area that might drop by the gate to say hello, but they are very friendly and harmless. The location is also very practical: only 10 minutes to a supermarket, gas station, bakery, veterinarian, and pet shop, and there’s plenty of space for parking on the street outside of the house. We also met only friendly and welcoming neighbors of all ages. All in all, a lovely place we’d be happy to return to again and again. We even received a gift basket :) Highly recommended!

The couch/sleeping sofa in the living room could be a bit more comfortable, but we made it work with all the pillows and blankets that were provided.
