We really enjoyed the serenity of this location right on the Douro River. Once we were shown an easier place to park, we found it more accessible. There is a good grocery store about 15 minutes away, and the freeways are easy to get to from there also. The suite was clean and modern and well appointed. There was good communication.

I love my staying. It is a little far from Porto but there is peace and the sound of nature. Property is very clean. I suggest to parc in the port. You can go near property, I did it once but I don’t recommend. Parking in the port means you have to climb 4 floors to get on the property but you will be happy to do it. It is not big. I was there with my wife. For two people is enough space. We love to drink our coffee on the patio early in the morning. In the evening when we went back we went again on the patio to have a glass of wine and more important to feed neighbour’s cats. Somehow everything looks far from this property but you will enjoy every second of your staying. Downstairs on the port you can fish. Also you can admire ships going up on the Douro river. If you are looking for tranquility and peace I suggest you to try it.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house right above the Duoro river. Immaculate condition, bright, modern, and well-maintained. It had everything we needed for our week-long get-away from the big city madness. Perfect locaton to explore Duoro Valley, Porto, Aveiro, Braga, and Geres. Our host, Mr. Manuel P. was the most gracious, excellent communicator, and even helped us with the luggage upon arrival and departure! If you are looking for peaceful stay in a beautiful and tranquil location we highly recommend "House on the Duoro". We found it on Expedia.com, but its also listed on VRBO website. Happy travels!
