Terri, our host, was a delight! She was dutiful, friendly and conversational! She explained the accommodations and her Continental breakfasts encompassed a pleasant variety of fruits, breads, eggs, dairy and teas plus coffee. We also liked sitting on the front porch in the morning or evening with a beverage!
We understood we would be at on old house. We didn't have a set expectation. (We have been guests in past years at the other Charlevoix House, further south, so that was our example of what to expect. Good but with a few "old house" flaws.) Northside's drawback for us only focused on the windows in our room, the bicycle room. No cross ventilation (only one window - in the bedroom - opened) and no windows in the bathroom opened to vent the steam from showering.

Room was too small, bathroom too small. Twin bed was a roll a way.
