Many other places would be cheeper and better in Afytos. We had a good stay but it was not worth it for the money we pay

Very nice location, close to great restaurants, bakeries and shops; Staff was nice, facilities were good

There are 3 or 4 parking spots available in front of the hotel. Although there is a dirt patch nearby where you can park, it would have been nice to park my car in front of the hotel. Sheets were not changed once during our 5 day stay. One of the days we requested cleaning but they did not clean. The housekeepers threw away my retainers, which is a very big inconvenience as I have to pay for new ones and wait a long time for them. Breakfast was not very good. AC was terrible

Breakfast was just eggs, same every day. Only 3 parking spaces. Room was smaller than in pictures. We needed to pay for beach towels.

A perfect home base for a relaxing holiday

The location is beautiful, the rooms have all necessary facilities and the host (Leftiris) is a very friendly man! The rooms are kept clean almost daily. The city is walking distance (5/10 min). I read negative comments about the WiFi but experienced no issues, perhaps because I was there in the off season.

There was no communication about any breakfast so I'd bought my own. While on Booking.com the breakfast is mentioned

Relaxing stay in Afythos

A very nice hotel, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff. The food is good, the rooms are nice and equipped with everything that you need, they are also clean and quite spacious and feature a nice balcony. Parking is alright, about 30 meters away there is a empty lot right on the main road where you can park, there are also a few parking spots right at the entrance to the building, but limited. Overall I had a nice stay here and I would recommend it.

This stay was a series of disappointing and frustrating experiences, filled with deceptive practices.

I am writing this review with the best intentions, hoping to assist naive travelers seeking a family vacation so they don't fall for the tricks of this "magician" family selling their services at a hefty price. To convey our experiences briefly: This "luxury" "hotel" is run by a small family (mother, father, and two daughters), and occasionally a grumpy grandmother appears, but we assume she's related to one of the parents. The first trick - as soon as we arrived, they wasted no time in showing us their mastery (of magic, certainly not hospitality). After waiting for 20 minutes at the reception with no one in sight (during regular check-in time, around 5:00 PM), a young lady finally appeared to "welcome" us to this "magical" hotel. We're not sure if she was underage, but she certainly seemed very disinterested. However, the trick was as follows: She offered to upgrade us to a better unit, a Suite, for free, even though we had booked a Studio. At first, we thought it was a kind gesture, although it seemed strange for them to give us a better accommodation for free for 7 nights. After a few minutes, we realized that we had already reserved a Suite, which was the most expensive and best unit. We tried to explain this to her, but she continued to insist. We showed her our reservation on Booking.com, but it was in vain. After 10 minutes, she gave up, rolled her eyes, and coldly said, "Okay. The second trick - At the room entrance, we were greeted by a list of interesting hotel rules, emphasizing that bed linens are changed every 4 days, we must not take towels to the pool or beach, and if we want, we can rent towels from them, along with some stringent pool rules, and so on. We were given only one room card to avoid wasting electricity when we weren't in the room.

Even though it rained during our stay at VagAthan, our hosts tried to make us feel good.

I liked everything, from the hosts to everything they made available to us. From the location you can easily move to Siviri, Kalithea, Polychrono... Thessaloniki... wherever you want to go to the beach.

The room is modern, comfortable, the cleaning is made every 2 days. Very nice and clean pool. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is close to Afitos's center.

The breakfast needs big improvement. Even if we came to breakfast before closing, we often found containers empty: no omlet, no cheese, no salamy, no salad. I asked several times the staff to refill them, but did not happend always. To many croissants and too little real food in my opinion. But the coffee was realy good.

The location and the stuff. Nice swimming pool but never used it.

Really poor breakfast, dry and the same every day. No fresh coffee. If you're a coffee lover, you'll be profoundly disappointed. Very noisy doors and overall noisy. The air conditioning is badly placed, right above the bed.

Stylish apartments

VagAthan has very nice apartments, locality is near to the center of Afytos (5-7 min walk). Our apartment was cosy and clean. The furniture is modern and stylish. Afytos is beautiful village with ancient architecture. there are a lot of beautiful traditional tavernas, bars, amazing turquoise sea! Afytos is on the hill, there are beautiful views. There are some tips for restaurants: meat/souvlaki: Grigoris Tavern (3 min walk) fish/seafood: Ta Glarakia (15 min walk) drinks: Notos (9 min walk)

Perfect Place and lovely staff

We loved everything!!! We felt at home. All the staff is so precious, they took care of us and our little daughter and deserve always attention to every our requests and details. They welcomed us always with a smile and even a juice for our child. Apartment is big, confortable and new. We appreciated cleanings every 2 days, towels and linen change and the kitckenette. We stayed at this place for 10 days and It was unforgettable. It would be nice just to have a wardrobe closed and some hallstand for an extra comfort. Afytos city centre is close and we almost reached it by walking (5 minutes) even with a stroller. Thank you Froso and all the family. Hope to come back soon. Greetings from Italy.
