Nestled between Pentwater and Ludington, this property is located a short (3-minute) drive from the fresh waters of Lake Michigan and a quick (5-minute) walk from Bass Lake. Ideal for both relaxation and adventure, Basswood Hideaway promises a memorable stay for families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts.
Accommodation:
Comfortable Sleeping Arrangements: Two cozy bedrooms, one featuring a queen-size bed and one with a full-size bed, plus a convenient queen-size sofa sleeper on the spacious porch/entryway.
Home Comforts: Enjoy the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen, one full bathroom, TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi for those rainy days indoors.
Outdoor Adventures and Amenities:
Lake Michigan Access: Just a half-mile to Summit Park or the family-friendly Bass Lake Outlet Beach, where you can enjoy sandy beaches and stunning sunsets. Summit Park has the additional attraction of a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and a picnic area.

I was here with my family for 5 days. We had a wonderful time. The cabin has a great vintage feel to it. It reminded us of our family cabin in the U.P., just not as secluded. It had all the amenities that we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. The area beaches were easily accessed and beautiful. Make sure to go to Bortell's up the street for some fried, smoked or fresh fish! It is well worth it.

We stayed in this cabin August 2024 and it definitely has the cabin smell that’s a little overwhelming when you first enter. It was fine for us to come back to in the evening after our day trips. Close to visit Ludington and Pentwater. Also Lake Michigan or inland Bass Lake for beach days. The carpet and couch could use a good shampoo otherwise, it was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

My 3 boys and I stayed in this cabin for 5 nights over 4th of July. The cabin was ‘as advertised.’ It was clean and close to many attractions. There was a notebook waiting for us which listed local attractions, towns, stores and even menus for local restaurants. We had access to a grill and chairs for the fire pit and beach. The cabin contained everything we needed except our own food and groceries. A Walmart and Meijer were within a 15 minute drive. There was a television with access to various streaming channels if you had a subscription. The towns of Ludington and Pentwater were within 10 minutes drive in either direction. Although close to the street, we never encountered a lot of traffic or noise. The beaches on Lake Michigan are always gorgeous and there were plenty to choose from. We would definitely rent this cabin or another cabin from this company again.
