About this house rental
Our house is in the village of Pentwater, Mi in a very quiet neighborhood; located about 8 blocks from downtown and an additional 4 blocks to the beach. FYI: although the house is very well stocked we only provide comforters and pillows; you are responsible for your own sheets and towels. 2 queen beds and a double futon.

The Property owner had great communication and responded quickly to questions. Check in/out could not have been easier. The house was as described except the kitchen area was a nice surprise. It wasn’t included in the photos , but certainly should be. The only things that kept me from giving a five star review were: lack of curtains in the living room (which is considered a sleeping space) ; the washing machine needed a ratchet strap to keep the door closed; the backyard needs some TLC to make it friendly. There is a patio table & chairs in the driveway, which would be nice to have in the back of the house. It’s clear the owners are working on refreshing the house and updates. The location is ideal and makes for a quick trip to town or the lake. There is so much possibility with this location and definitely worth considering when you’re visiting Pentwater.

Quiet neighborhood and good location. 15 min walk downtown or 20 minutes walk to Mears State Park Beach. 5 minutes drive to the beach and free parking if you have a state park pass. Beds were comfortable. Couches are just ok—not the greatest for relaxing but you’ll likely be at the beach instead, right? TV has a fire stick so you can log into your streaming accounts easily. Nightlights would be helpful for kitchen and bathroom. Good amount of kitchen equipment, but bring kid friendly dishes and utensils if you need it. Bring food storage containers, too. Easy check-in process. Communication was timely. No AC, but we were lucky to have agreeable weather, and there were plenty of fans. And yes, you need to bring your own towels, sheets and pillowcases.

I have rented this darling house for 6 years for my son and his family, and it was always clean and pleasant for them. This year, there were many ants in the house; a cabinet door had fallen off, washing machine didn't work without a strap that held the door on; no window coverings on the large front window which faces a busy street; and art work visibly missing from walls. I paid 900 more than in previous years and expected better accommodations than were there. We would rent it again if we could be assured that the above items would have been addressed.
