About this house rental
Family legend says that this historic home was built for Carrie, the daughter of Charles Mears, the lumber baron who built the channel into Lake Michigan and operated a sawmill on its banks.
P5H2O is ideally located on a quiet dead end street, 2 blocks from Pentwater’s downtown and less than 3 blocks from the Lake Michigan sandy beach at Charles Mears State Park. This spacious and comfortable 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath has room to sleep 7 to 8 guests. The Master bedroom located on the main floor has a queen sized and a twin bed, bedroom two has a full sized bed, twin bed and daybed; and bedroom three has twin sized bunk beds. Linens and towels provided. There is a portable a/c unit in the first floor master bedroom.
The kitchen is fully furnished: stove, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. All appliances are electric. Satellite TV and a deck with gas grill for your enjoyment. Washer and dryer available for your use.
Please note that during the busy season, June thru August there is a 7 night rental minimum, Saturday to Saturday. A dog is allowed with a $75.00 deposit.
Please no smoking and no fireworks allowed. Thank you for treating our home as you would your own.
Weekly rate is $2,050.00 for rent and clean. A 6% Michigan Use Tax will be collected. A $500.00 damage fee will be collected by VRBO if determined by property manager.

We needed a place to sleep for sailboat regatta activities, and this location was perfect. It is old, rustic, quirky. The full bath is between two bedrooms upstairs, so it does require some coordination.

Loved our stay here! The location was perfect- right between the beach and town. The house was comfortable, it is nice and shady so it stayed cool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pentwater and this location is the perfect distance from the beach, Farmer's Market and quaint downtown. The deck and screened-in porches are the perfect places to unwind, listen to nature and bond with family. The cabin is comfortable and clean plus decorated with a homey touch and unique art. It is nicely shaded during the day and its many windows catch the breezes. The cabin also has things available that one often leaves at home, but usually wishes they had packed like first aid items, bug repellent, etc. We had a wonderful experience staying in this quiet and cozy cabin!
