Sea Loft Kangaroo Island

Es war wirklich ein grandios schönes Haus. Wir waren mit unseren 3 Kindern hier und hatten eine wahnsinnig schönes Wildlife „Kino“ vor der Türe. Es war wirklich einfach traumhaft. Der Preis ist schon deutlich höher, als woanders. Ob es das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wert war, muss jeder für sich entscheiden. Für uns war es einmalig und das Geld wert bis…..

Wir konnten leider aufgrund des Buschfeuers in Deep Creek nicht planmäßig abreisen und standen am Abreisetag mit unseren Kindern ohne Unterkunft da. Wir hätten uns da etwas mehr Feingefühl erhofft und uns ein kleines Entgegenkommen preislich gewünscht, da wir wirklich etwas verzweifelt und überfordert waren. Jedoch wurde hier nur aufs Geld geschaut. Wir sind dann zu einer anderen Unterkunft die 50% mit dem Preis runter sind und wirklich Mitgefühl gezeigt haben und für uns alles versucht haben um die Fähre für die nächsten Tage zu organisieren. So hätten wir uns das einfach von unserem Vermieter gewünscht.

Die Unterkunft bot einen hohen Standard an Ausstattung, Sauberkeit und Atmosphäre. Die Kommunikation mit den Hosts war super und auf Rückfragen wurde umgehend reagiert. Wir konnten sogar ein paar Kängarus aus unmittelbarer Nähe betrachten.

Dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten. :-)

Everything was perfect! The house is simply stunning and super clean. Perfect location. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely owners.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The photos are a little deceiving, I thought that the property would be in the middle of nowhere, however it was relatively close to town. The wildlife was ok, we only saw the kangaroos hopping by from a far, but we did get to see an echidna.

On face value this is a great little property, however it could be so much better. On first impressions it was clean, but look a little deeper there was a lot of dust and dirt in the corners. There were was only basic amenities such as soap and dishwashing liquid provided, no shampoo or body wash, which wasn’t a problem to us per se, however there was no milk… even a uht capsule would have been welcome! Our biggest complaint was with the bed, it was so uncomfortable, especially for a two night stay. It is the kind of bed that should never have been made, not even for the occasional sleep, let alone the only option in the property. Also we stayed while it was warm and the property does not have any air conditioning, which would have been ok, if only there was the option of ceiling fans. The property is in need of such, or even an electric fan would have been ok. We tried to have the windows open, but the blinds did not have stoppers, so they banged loudly, it really was a case of being stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.
