Albufeira Old Town T3 with Balcony

This apartment was everything my friends and I could have hoped for, this was our first girls holiday after recently finishing a-levels and the apartment made the celebrations much easier. The apartment was in a great location for us personally, as we were a 5 minute walk from the beach, as well as a 3 minute walk from the old town nightlife, this made our evenings more enjoyable because we knew the apartment was only around the corner if we ever felt unsafe. Being a group of girls, there was plenty of getting ready space as one of the two bathrooms has two sinks, so there was never any fights for space and when there was a concern for safety as one of the glass pannels on the front door was missing, when we contacted the owner the problem was solved immediately. Everything about the accomodation was great and a bonus was that the AC worked amazingly and was definitely a saving grace from the portugese heat!!

Unfortunately, there was a bit of an ant problem, and on the last day, when all of our rubbish was by the door, they were EVERYWHERE! And it would have been nice if there were washing machine tablets already stocked in the apartment that we could use, because when we did need to wash clothes, we had to buy them externally, which was a shame because we left so many after we left. But honestly, apart from that, our stay was perfect!!

The beds were very comfortable and having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the property was clean

There was no hot water or extra blankets, both were needed due to the poor weather. Only having 1 window in the entire living space made it very dark

Spacious apartment in the centre of Albufeira old town, reasonably well equipped, with a good size balcony for outdoor eating. Five minutes walk to beaches, and amongst many restaurants, bars, shops, etc

Whilst it was good to be so close to everything, it also meant a lot of noise until late into the night, mainly due to the very loud music from the bar/restaurants underneath, which didn’t stop until around 2 am. The property also needs some maintenance done to it, eg large water leak in ceiling and walls of lounge room has been left unfixed, etc, which is unsightly and unacceptable, given the price charged. However, the biggest issues for us were the lack of information disclosed upfront in the property description and in the pre checkin email sent, plus the incredibly inefficient check in process itself. As instructed, we rang the managing agents 45 mins prior to arrival, so someone could meet us at the property. However, it took us over an hour just to get through to them on the phone, only to find out they’d left the keys on site for a self check in after all. We then had to call them back a number of times, because we couldn’t find the parking, as they failed to tell us the parking is in a totally separate building 200 metres away from the property, and also didn’t tell us what parking spot number to use. Driving around Albufeira is already stressful, and this lack of basic and logical information to enable a smooth check in was annoying and incredibly disappointing. Whilst the property itself was not too bad, we would not rebook due to all the above and the fact that at no time were we offered any apology for the lack of communication or inefficiency.
