About this cottage rental

Nestled in a small valley and surrounded by acres of scenic woods, our cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Oak Grove Cottage is located only minutes away from the beautiful Mohican River and next to landolls mohican castle !! The state park is only few minutes which offer visitors hiking and canoeing opportunities and numerous other activities for the family!! Pleasant hill lake is only 15 minutes away!!Enjoy a steaming cup of coffee on the front porch and watch the different species of birds and wildlife that visit our wildlife feeders . Gather around the campfire with your family and create memories to last a lifetime! If we do have a great amount of snow driveway might be impassable!!!!

Pictures do not do this cabin justice! So clean, plenty of kitchen and grill supplies. Extra coffee, TP, paper towels, you name it. We were so pleasantly surprised. The property is beautiful, quiet and remote. Everything was perfect for our group. Cornhole, and ping pong included. Nothing to improve in my opinion, it was the perfect weekend. Just a heads up that my Mustang even made it to this remote cabin, but I would not dare drive that car here other than a dry summer day. The Mustang never would have made it through these backroads in the winter, but only a crazy person would even try that. Haha!

Great cabin, has everything you need set on a tranquil property. The host was responsive. The driveway is a two track mountain road with slippery/ loose rocks and mud. Id recommend against using this house as part of a motorcycle trip. Next time we will bring our truck! Thanks for everything we made memories to last a lifetime.

Our family totally enjoyed our stay in your property. Property had everything provided from linens and towels to soap, coffee and foil. Some of us were surprised to not find a tv on site, but others of us enjoyed the extra peace. The ping pong table provided a spot for us to gather with a little friendly family competition. Thanks for a great stay and would totally recommend!

This place is immaculate and well taken care of. Beautiful setting and right next to the castle through the woods. Your TV is watching the deer at the feeder and the birds at the birdhouse through the large picture window. Just awesome. A+ and 5 stars

This cabin is such a diamond in the rough! It’s literally off the radar, butttt so close to Mohican (we went canoeing and had dinner at the lodge!). It took us a while to find it, since cellular is terrible out there. The property owner gave me a map prior! If you want to stay here, expect to relax with no devices! There’s no TV, cell or Wi-Fi… which was perfectly fine with us!

We do not have one complaint about this cabin! This was a perfect choice for our yearly holiday getaway to the mohican area. The place was clean, organized and not to mention BEUATIFUL! We all were comfortable as could be. We loved taking the unpaved country roads back to the cabin. This really gave us that off-grid feel but with many of the amenities of home. We loved sitting on the 4 porches and watching the birds and other wildlife come and go with the picturesque stream running through the property as well. There was a place for enjoyment for everyone in our group including first time campers who had never spent a moment in the woods before! We absolutely will stay here again the next time we come to the area. Thank you so much hosts for the hospitality!

Our stay started with getting lost trying to find the rental cabin. As long as you put in Landlolls Castle, you will be close since cell internet typically went off after that. We made the mistake by leaving 🌽 out and the raccoons certainly got a good meal. A couple disadvantages were that my two daughters fell down the stairs and my mom almost did because she couldn’t see the landing after the last step since it blended in. Maybe a banister or a night rubber mat at the landing step would be helpful. No one got hurt! All in all, it was a very nice stay and comfortable for us and the animals. An extra couch would have been nice as well for two extra people since there were seven of us. Oh yeah, the floor and stairs creek a lot if your not use to cabin homes and this may keep you up. This was a beautiful home and I enjoyed the decor. We had a water balloon fight and fireworks. We did some birdwatching with the birdhouse/feeder. There are a lot of bugs, moths mostly. Bring bug spray! Our electric went off for an hour due to a widespread outage and the hosts were great in getting back with us on the time it was coming back on. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My wife and I were able to really relax and enjoy each others company with our 2 dogs for our 1 year anniversary. We made breakfast both mornings in the clean and stocked kitchen. Grilled out and made a fire in the evenings. Very accommodating and we hope to come back soon. Beautiful place inside and out. Just what we needed for a little escape.

The property was amazing. Having a secluded weekend away from civilization was great. We loved the 4 porches that this cabin had to offer and wished that it would have been warmer to take more advantage of them. The cabin was much bigger than we thought and there was more than enough space for 6 grown adults and a dog. Everything was stocked and the cabin was super clean! We will for sure be back!
