Restored Historical Farmhouse With Pond And Farm Animals At Mohican State Park

This property was a nice relaxing place to stay. We didn't fill the entire home, but i could see how a larger group could easily fit and have a great time there. There were ample seating spots, places to hide out if you had too much, large yard for games and everything i needed to cook for the family. The host was responsive and helpful. Ash, the cat, followed us on our hike through the woods. We are planning on returning for sure.

It was a good experience for all of us, in beautiful surroundings. The animals were so friendly and the host always got back to us in a timely manner with any questions we had. The only complaint that we have is that cleanliness of the screened in porch could’ve been better. Maybe deep cleaning on the furniture cushions or get new ones.

This is our fifth year in a row going to the Mohican farmhouse! We always have a wonderful time!

Loved seeing and feeding the animals, And the owner was very nice and responded quickly to any questions we had while we were there. I would recommend the baked goods they sell also- they were yummy!

Our family of 12, 6 kids and 6 adults, had another wonderful stay at the farmhouse! The kids love the animals and we enjoyed fishing at the pond. The house is well equipped, clean and has so many nice touches. We had a warm campfire and did some star gazing. Big backyard sufficient to set up a soccer net or other yard games. Wonderful memories made!

Beautiful property to relax and unwind. The kids loved all of the animals on site and spent as much time as they could outside. Close to Mohican and just a short drive to Amish country! Owner was very responsive and prompt. No complaints at all!

More memories were created for our growing family. God bless and we’ll be back next year if Jesus tarries. The place was clean and cozy. The kids loved feeding and petting the animals.

It was ever thing we wanted and more. The house was cozy and comfortable, the animals were friendly and fun. It really felt like a home away from home. Will definitely be back.

Comfortable and cozy home, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable seating and beds, and the first VRBO I have rented for which I didn’t say, “I wish they had a______.” The owners have thought about most everything a guest may need that a host can reasonably provide. And the animals are a special treat. My granddaughters and really, all my adult children as well, enjoyed feeding them and watching their antIt’s as they jockeyed for the best positions to get at the food provided by the owners. An important note: there are barn cats that hang out on the porch but they do not go in the house and my allergic kiddos didn’t have any trouble in the house. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and large sectional sofa where we all could fit and sitting around the large farm table together for meals. The owners even welcomed our dog! I highly recommend this lovely home.

This is a nice quiet place. The owners provided plenty of information about all of the animals and left some food for us to feed them.

Our family gathered and stayed in the Restored Farmhouse mid November. The property was beautiful! We enjoyed feeding, petting and watching all the animals living on the farm. Several people in our group enjoyed fishing in the small pond. We brought our own firewood and spent the chilly afternoon around the fire pit - lots of s'mores and laughs! The kitchen was well appointed and had all of the things we needed to prepare and enjoy meals together. There were plenty of kitchen and bath towels available, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We were able to use our personal streaming accounts to watch college football games and boxing on the large television in the family room too. Our family was able to relax and enjoy our time together at this property! A few important things to note: We arrived after dark, coming from the east side of the county. We did not have a house number, and did have some trouble finding the property. Inside the house, beware of the steep steps going upstairs. There are trip hazards at the top of the steps too. Maybe most importantly to note, we were unaware that the upstairs bedrooms were all semi-private as you have to move through the connected bedrooms to use the bathroom and to go downstairs. Before arriving, we were also not aware there was an extra up-charge to use the cottage bedroom on property. Overall, we enjoyed this property and made great memories there as a family. Thanks for a great stay!

My family loved our long weekend visit. We enjoyed peaceful starry nights around the firepit, several activities at or near Mohican State Park (apple picking, hiking, horseback riding) and the hours of entertainment from the farm animals and outdoor cats. The teens and their friends hung outside feeding and playing with the animals. It was also beneficial to have a full-sized kitchen with all the amenities to prepare & serve meals and comfortable living areas to relax at our leisure. It was a much needed respite for our family and I would absolute return.

We all had a great time. Can't wait to stay again. My whole family enjoyed the time.

Our recent stay at this farmhouse was a delightful experience. The house was spotlessly clean and offered more than enough space for our group. One of the highlights was feeding the various animals on the property, which was a fun and engaging activity for everyone. We LOVED the cats! We also enjoyed a cozy fire on a chilly evening, adding a perfect touch to our stay. The sunroom was our favorite spot—it became the heart of our mornings where we sipped coffee, caught up with each other, and enjoyed the gentle sounds of the waking farm animals. The cottage itself was quaint and full of character, making it a true home away from home. We took advantage of the beautiful surroundings with a 7-mile kayak trip, which was both exhilarating and peaceful. Dinner at a local restaurant was a treat, and we also found plenty of charming shops in town to explore. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable retreat!

A delightful place to revive and refresh. The farm animals add a unique charm, and the house is lovely. Close to trails, the State Park, and tourist activities. Highly recommend.

My wife, three children and their spouses along with our 5 grandchildren stayed a week here. The grandkids and our adult children loved this place! The animals were a huge hit! They loved feeding them and wanted to go to the barn first thing every morning. They loved fishing as well. This farmhouse had all the amenities of home. We usually try a different place every year but they all voted they want to come back to this house next year! Definitely brought home many memories

Perfect for Family with All ages of children/grandchildren. The weather was perfect for all the outdoor activities! Grandkids fed the animals, fished, played outdoor games, and enjoyed the campfire at night and in the morning. It was Our 45th Anniversary with a total of us, 23 (includes 13 grandchildren ranging from age 3 to 18). We used the Farm Landscape to take Family Pictures, Perfect backdrop of the Pond and the Mohican Forest. Enjoyed Our Time at the Farmhouse!

This year we chose the Mohican Farm House for our annual family vacation and what a wonderful time we had. The enclosed back porch was a perfect place to start each day with a fresh cup of coffee. It was fun feeding the animals, we enjoyed them all. The pond was stocked for fishing and we gathered around the fire pit to roast hot dogs and marshmallows. Our Grandkids asked to do something with us with their Christmas money so we rented the Mohican Farmhouse for three nights and took 7 of them. They fished, played with the animals, collected fresh eggs, and just enjoyed “farmhouse living” for three days and nights. They absolutely loved it!

our family has stayed twice at mohican farmhouse. plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. well stocked kitchen. the front porch , back screened in porch and deck offer numerous spaces for family members to be together.. family enjoys the paddle boat, catch and release pond and firepit. owners answer questions promptly.

We had a great time during our short stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the pond, animals and everything about the house.

We stayed at the farmhouse for a weekend in April to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. The owners allowed us to check in early so we could decorate for the surprise. I was so excited to see that they left "feed" for us to feed all the animals. We had 4 kids all together, ages ranging from 9 to 14, and they loved feeding the animals and fishing in the pond. The back enclosed patio was perfect for us to gather and play board games. I highly recommend for a great time!

Absolutely adored this stay and the beautiful property. The animals are so fun to feed and watch! My favorite part was the cats because they are super friendly and will cuddle with you while sitting on the porch. So sad I couldn’t take them with me :( If you are looking for a relaxing stay, this is the place!!

This was our 4th stay here. We have made an annual tradition. We love the peace and tranquility of the Farmhouse. Shane is so pleasant and down to earth. Already looking forward to next year!

We had all ages and dogs and everyone was happy! Kids loved the animals and feeding the cats daily and adults loved relaxing in the screen porch and watching the turkey and the chickens. Nice kitchen and enough room for us to enjoy our meals together. Convenient hiking right from the house to take the dogs on walks. Very nice stay!
