The vibe of the apartment was so welcoming and cosy. The location was brilliant and the place had everything I needed as well as being quiet. The hosts were so helpful and welcoming through their communication and little touches in the way they'd set up the apartment. Can't wait to stay again.
The walkways outside the apartment needed a little TLC but this was nothing to do with the apartment itself.

It was clean and there was plenty of space with everything in both the wardrobe and cupboards. Bus stop right in front of the building and a co-op right up the street. The owners were really nice and kept me up-to-date over text about everything I needed and were open to help with any questions I had.
A document was provided that had everything explained in it from where to take out the trash to recommendations for food which was all very useful. Everything you need for cooking etc. was provided as well as a few laundry pots and kitchen wipes.
The only "complaint" I have is that the elevator buttons on the floor we were on weren't working as well as the light in the atrium was on all night long which was a bit annoying so the bedroom was never really dark but that's all.

It was a self-catering appartment, so no breakfast included, although Richard did leave me a tasty packet of Burts crisps. The apartment really was chic and bright with all modern amenities including an inductor hob and oven. Richard was very quick to respond, and offered his support when I called him to enquire how the hob worked. He was very pleasant and helpful and I was cooking in no time!
There was some building works being carried out by the entrance of the building just after I arrived there, I suppose that could not be avoided.

A little out of town.

Very clean, modern, functional apartment, plenty of space for a couple. Host Richard was very helpful in comms before and during stay. Nice little touches like coffee, milk and a sample of local products
slight downside - location was a bit quiet but if you study map of Plymouth before coming you will see that it’s about 15 mins drive to town centre. Frequent, cheap buses and parking in City Centre was okay

A good modern, well-fitted property with a nice view of the dockyard and the water. A well-equipped kitchen and the coffee machine with pods was a nice touch. The building os controlled entry with servitors which is good for security.
The hosts were very flexible and accommodating (NB they are not on site), this was appreciated and made my stay easier - more likely that I will want to stay here again as a result.
All was good, only suggestion I might add is to add kitchen paper in the kitchen.

Comfortable bed & homely feeling apartment
On street parking was a concern throughout the stay, as not the nicest location - I would have been happier to pay a little more to use the on-site parking facilities Note. The is an ad for a monthly rental of a parking bay on the notice board - would be worth the investment imo
Doors on kitchen cabinets could do with tightening up as some are loose - small panel falls off when using the washing machine
Was a bit nervous about using the cooking facilities, due to the warnings about the fire alarm being activated

It was clean, warm & had everything we needed
Was advertised as wheelchair friendly but not enough room in the bathroom unfortunately. Perfect everywhere else.
The fire alarm kept going off, we were told not to worry it was the weather!!! If people are too blazey about it when do you know when to take it seriously!!!

The apartment itself is fine. Spacious and well fitted out. There is a CO-OP just across the road, for any grocery supplies you may want. The apartment block is very quiet, and has their own security for the building.
Unless you are travelling by car, the apartment is a bit too far away from the city and the sights, to be convenient.
And if you are travelling by car, then car parking is a nightmare. It is all street parking, and many of the streets have restrictions on them, making the parking tedious and stressful. If you have luggage, be prepared that you may end up being parked quite a distance from the apartment.

Called the host on arrival who opened the main door remotely, and the key lock was easy to use.

Great apartment in a great location. It has everything you need for a few days or a few months. Handy for everything and the bus stop just round the corner will take you into the centre in about 10 minutes. It's was cool inside even though it was +30 outside. Owner very responsive to messages. Highly recommended.

I honestly don't think there was much to like. I wonder if all the other reviews were fake or if people just have largely different expectations. Okay, one thing was definitely good: it was very easy to check in and out.
A, and the sofa was really comfortable. Sadly, I found out because I slept on it (the mattress in the bed was so bad that every time one of us turned, the other felt it like a little earthquake, so to get any sleep, I moved to sleep in the living room as I am significantly shorter than my partner).
Even before we entered the flat, we were a little worrisome. The area is pretty bad, one look on the people walking down the street was enough to make us a little apprehensive about leaving the car parked on a road (which was the only type of parking available). It also made me worried that the place would not be "bright and modern" as advertised. And sadly, I was right.
The bedroom has a window onto that communal area inside the building. Not only it doesn't provide much light (apart from at night when it's very brightly lit and makes the bedroom too bright for good sleep), but it also feels insecure. It's effectively like a ground-floor flat.
We found a toilet seat broken. I notified the owner immediately (Saturday afternoon), and he said he would fix on Monday. (And also, it wasn't broken and I was over-reacting...). I said I wasn't happy with that, as we would need to use the toilet quite a few times before then, and he told me to either accept this or vacant the property (fat luck to me finding somewhere else at such a short notice, which I did try).
Then, we find that cutlery in the drawer is dirty. And there's no cloth of sponge. There's also only one toilet roll. We never get apologies to for any of that. Granted, my tone in a message was not nice by then, but I had every right to be annoyed. Especially as the owner failed to read my messages properly and respond even before our arrival.
There were also a lot of other little annoying things. Multiple broken light bulbs, heavy lamps hung too low on a low ceiling. The whole place is very low quality, the mattress is appallingly cheap and uncomfortable, there's loads of noise from the street. The tv sound keeps breaking up.
But the worst things must've been the area, and the rude owner. To top all of this experience up, on Wednesday night there was a fight on the street, and people got arrested.

The apartment was really well equipped and well maintained. Richard, the host, maintained excellent communication throughout my stay and was on hand to answer some questions before I arrived. Though there were some concerns raised in other reviews about parking, I was able to part on Ross St or Pym St whenever I came back from work each day (5 nights).
It's not something that the hosts could do, specifically, as everything was provided, just a heads up for future guests. The apartment itself faces onto a very noisy road - having the windows open in the hot weather meant that there was a lot of noise in the apartment.

Lovely, clean modern apartment. Easy drive or bus ride in and out of Plymouth city centre. We didn't have a problem parking. Would use again.
