B&B HOTEL St Gallen

The staff were very friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

A fantastic hotel with very smart and spacious rooms, and lots of communal space too. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent.

As with everything in Switzerland, it is on the more expensive side, but considering the facilities it still represents excellent value.

The beds were very small, I think 80 cm, but they were very comfortable. The hotel is located next to the train station the line was very busy also at night. The windows are very good so when closed the noise is very reduced. It is quite far from the historic part of the town.

I liked the hotel in general. It is definitely a budget hotel, so you shouldn't have high expectations. Although it is a 3 star hotel, I liked the breakfast and the area. At the breakfast they had gluten-free bread for request and a good coffee. The eggs didn't taste good but they had gluten-free cornflakes which is amazing if you can only eat gluten-free options. I liked the breakfast options in general. The Migros and its restaurant is close to the hotel so you can buy anything for yourself in less then 15 minutes.

The hotel is a little bit far from the main train station but you can take the bus and it will take you there in a few minutes. The staff left me with mixed feelings. Some of them were nice and helpful but there was a short blonde lady with a rude tone at the reception who refused to help me when I needed help the most. I was making a new booking on booking.com when an error happened and the room was not available anymore but I was charged already. So I booked another 1 night at this BB hotel to solve my situation temporarily. I called booking.com helpdesk but the guy I talked to about my refund misunderstood which booking I meant and they sent me an email after the call about cancelling my BB Hotel stay which was false. So I asked the receptionist to please wait for the end of the story because I am in a big mess already and it is a long story. She refused to listen and cut me off in the middle of the story and she said she didn't have time for this and asked me:"what do you need, what do you need?" I said I need her to please listen to the story so she would know what to check in the system. She kept on saying:"She doesn't have time for this because her boss is going to be angry and she has work to finish until 10 and she won't be able to finish as she is alone for 300 people and the system will shut down at 10..."She also added: "Welcome to a 3 star hotel, where nobody cares! This is not a 4 star hotel where they kiss your ass and jump if you need anything" (2 swiss men were witnessing this conversation). She was making comments in swiss language to them about me while I was standing there desperate for some help while being 5 months pregnant. She absolutely lacked empathy, patience and she is not a fit for the hospitality industry. After she talked to me like this without any respect I asked her:"Why do you have to talk to me in this f...ing rude way?
