Worst accommodations ever. Please avoid .

Only good thing is the location, close to the city center and train station

Almost anything that can be wrong, is wrong at this location: - dirty room and bathroom - old and broken furniture - very old and uncomfortable beds and mattresses - I requested one big bed, and I received 2 small ones next to each other, about 15cm gab between mattress due to bed frames - bathroom door not closing - never seen such dirty and bad towel ever( I put some pictures) - although it was told that the breakfast was available from 7 AM, it was nobody there, so I was not able to eat any breakfast ( let's see if I can get any refound) - I was told I can leave the luggage at the reception, nobody at the reception and also you need the key to enter the hallway. So cannot do that - a lot of noise from outside - these types of properties should be banned

Good location but loud and cramped

The location was great and the self check in was easy to navigate. The breakfast was also a nice touch.

The good location meant the hotel was right near the restaurant and shopping strips and the room was VERY LOUD all night on a Friday and Saturday when we stayed. At 3am-4am people were still singing and playing music down the street and the shutters did not block out the noise. The bathroom was also very cramped and you could barely go to the toilet without banging your head or hand on the shower, piping or heating.

Reasonable for what you get!

The location of the hotel is really good as it is in the heart of the old town with plenty of bars and restaurants around. It is a 10-minute walk from the main train station that goes to the airport. There is a lot of noise on the street as a result, but with earplugs and the window closed it isn't a problem for me. There is a 24/7 self-check-in which is great if you arrive late as this can be a problem at many hotels where someone should be at the front desk.

The downside of self-check-in is that there is no reception open during those hours, and in fact, the reception was closed on easter Saturday and Sunday. There was no warning of this, so I kept going downstairs to check if someone would be there or if breakfast would come, but it never did. They didn't leave a note on the desk about this at all. The prices were the same as if they had breakfast as well (I checked other days). I would have booked another place if I had known. Hotels usually don't close reception during holidays, where I have traveled to as those are peak travel times so I would not have guessed. Speaking of leaving information, I also had to check all 4 floors for the shower as they don't leave any info about where that is either.

The room was clean and comfortable and adequate for a one-night stay.

The contactless check-in process could have been better organized. I would have preferred not to have to stand out in the street and enter all my personal information into the terminal. Also, the hotel is next to a pub which played loud music until midnight, making it impossible to sleep because of all the noise.

Self check in was easy and worked well, I kept my code handy to use when I got there. The room was basic but clean, just what I would expect for the price. Location was good, I found it easily walking from the station and also to the places I wanted to visit. The breakfast was very good, I enjoyed the large variety of different fruit. The man working in the breakfast room and at checkout was friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with a lovely staff

Good location, just 10 minutes walk from the St. Gallen Station. Also close to the Cathedral and Abbey Library. Check-in machine was easy to use and you will get a detailed instruction of how to use it beforehand. The lady at the reception and breakfast room was so friendly and kind that she gets out of her way to ask if the guests are okay. She also helped us to bring down our suitcases when we left. The room was clean and modern. Wide selection of food including fruits and vegetables available for breakfast. Water kettle and tea ready in the room. Overall had a comfortable stay.

Would be great if there were a dryer and more light in the room. The elevator operates only from the first floor so it should be troublesome if you arrive out of check-in time and have to bring up heavy luggage from the ground floor on your own. I guess the lady at the reception will nonetheless help you when she's available.
