PORTA HOME modern and hospitable

Our family of two adults and two teens found it easy to get to the main town area and beach and the place had everything we needed. The host dropped off lovely local bakery goods for us.

If you are all the small bath off the bedroom may be a tight squeeze but it was fine for us.

This is an immaculately clean property in a perfect location for visiting Naxos island. It's close enough to the town with its bars and restaurants, but just out of the centre so it's quiet for sleeping. After really good communication before arrival, the host was there to greet us and made us incredibly welcome. She was also able to advise on things to do and where to eat and shop. Communication during our stay was absolutely perfect.

The parking is described as close by, it is in the car park 100m away, which is fine and as described. It does get very busy so can be tricky to find a spot at certain times, but this is not a faulty of the property, just to have in mind. The seating in the lounge area for 4 adults is a little bit of a squeeze and the en suite in the main bedroom is small. The main bathroom is large and fine though.

We absolutely loved our stay at Porta Home, and highly recommend it for any visitors. It was impeccably clean, spacious, the location was central and close walking distance to all the sights. Short walking distance to the heart of the castle, restaurants, the port, and more. The best part were the hosts Matina & Antonis who were so warm, kind, and hospitable, and provided lots of helpful information on where to eat, sights to see plus they surprised us with yummy treats! It was the perfect place for our family of 4 including 2 teeenagers, and our only regret was not staying longer!

Loved the space, the kitchen, having a washing machine, and the extra half bath. It was a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Naxos Town. Public parking was only 1 block away. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. They checked on us daily and provided a list of their local recommendations. They even provided extra pillow cases when requested for use of the extra pillows in the closet. Lots of storage space!

The extra toilet room was tiny. I’m 5’5’’ and 125 lbs and my shoulders touched the sink while using the toilet. The pillows were also lumpy and very uncomfortable causing everyone to have neck pain. I considered purchasing new pillows. The beds were creaky and slightly uncomfortable as well. They had 3 nice patios but the view was of an alley so we didn’t really use it.
