Stunning location and the house being part of a ruin makes it really special. The outside space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying alfresco dining - and the pool was a lifesaver in the heat. Marie-Helene and her husband were lovely and very accommodating, providing us with a few essentials as we missed the supermarket on our first day. They also advised us on the best places to shop and visit whilst we were there . There were a few things we would like to see when we return, some metal BBQ tools, as we only had a pair of tongs but could have done with a spatula ! We were worried about melting the plastic one ! It was very hot the week we stayed and we made good use of the air conditioning downstairs but as there was none upstairs we could have done with a few fans in the other 2 bedrooms
