The apartment is approximately 65 square meters in size, very bright, and in a quiet location, with a large living/dining area and a kitchenette. The well-equipped kitchen features an oven, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The two bedrooms, each approximately 9 square meters in size, are furnished with a double bed and two single beds, respectively. Some of the windows are equipped with fly screens. A 40-inch Sony flat-screen TV with satellite TV, radio, and DVD player is available in the living area. The apartment has an approx. 8-square-meter balcony with a view across the Meede River to the dike. From the dining area, you also have a beautiful view across the Meede River; on clear days, you can even see as far as Pilsum and/or Greetsiel. Balcony furniture is available in the apartment’s storage room. A small storage shed is available for storing bicycles you bring with you. The apartment is ideal for couples, families with up to 2 children, or up to 4 adults. Partially refurnished in 2026.



Krummhörn is located in East Frisia, northwest of Emden and southwest of Norden. The most well-known town in Krummhörn is Greetsiel.
The vacation apartments are offered by private owners and are located in the small, peaceful rural village of Visquard. Suitable for active travelers, those seeking peace and quiet, and families with children.
Right next to the house is a small, fenced-in playground and a sluice with a boat dock, which is ideal both as a fishing spot and as a starting point for a short boat trip.
The view stretches across the Meede to the Kreuzkirche in Pilsum, to the top of the dike on the horizon, and to the twin windmills of Greetsiel. The vacation rentals are an ideal starting point for bike tours. You can also explore the immediate surroundings on short or long walks.
Greetsiel is about 4 km away and is always worth a visit.
Pewsum, with good shopping options, is also just 3 km away. The dike near Pilsum is also only about 5 km away. Emden is about 15 km away, and Norden/Norddeich is about 20 km away.
A folder with suggestions for excursions in the surrounding area is provided in the apartments. Krummhörn offers various events throughout the year, including the annual “Orgel Frühling” (Organ Spring) in May and “Greetsieler Woche” (Greetsiel Week) in July/August, featuring a fishing boat parade. The East Frisian islands are easily accessible, and island hopping is possible from Norddeich, Emden, and, to some extent, from Greetsiel. More distant destinations, such as the English Landscape Park in Luetetsburg near Hage, are also worthwhile places to visit in East Frisia, as are the Ems Barrage near Oldersum (near Emden) and the Meyer Shipyard in Papenburg.
