DEVON BEACH STATION

Felicity, our host, was very kind and helpful. Everything went really smoothly. Location was excellent for centre and beach front. Beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was there, including cleaning products (although there was no dishwasher tablets) but there were rubber gloves which I didn't realise until after I washed up! There was no problem parking outside and the area was very quiet which was ideal at night in the heat (with windows open) and young ones.

Although the place was very clean, I think the carpets could do with a clean. They didn't look dirty but walking round bare foot our feet got very dirty. Probably not all people take their shoes off indoors, but we always do.

An ideal size for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. Location is brilliant for the town/beach/station. The outside area was a bonus for us in the hit weather to be able to have a bbq

There are a few element of the house that need some pretty major work such as the rear flat roof and fencing in the garden. Some general modernising with decoration, bathroom facilities and mattress in the down stairs bedroom. A trim of the front garden also needed to help match the picture in Google image when finding the property. Overall still a great stay and we’d happily return

The initial view was slightly alarming as the from garden is well overgrown, however once inside everything was good.

Great location central to pier, beach and shops. Lovely large house. A welcome hamper was left by the host which was a nice touch. Host also provides plenty of information about the town and amenities,and is happy to answer any questions you may have.

The bed linen and towels were fresh and clean and the place was well hoovered, however it was noticeable that it was in need of a deep clean and some redecoration. There was also minor repairs that need doing that were noticeable, for example the doors stick and window catches are very stiff and dont all fully lock down. The top bunk bed had a loose safety rail. Luckily we only needed to use the bottom one. One of the double beds had a dip in the mattress and the springs dug in.The house is overall lovely and has so much potential, but these are things we couldnt ignore.
