Beautiful, peaceful stay in the champagne region

We stayed in the chalet with 2 beds upstairs. It was well kitted out and provided a very relaxing 2 days on our journey through France. The breakfast and basket dinner were delicious and delivered to our Châlet. We also enjoyed the pool and general quietness of the stay. I think it would be possibly better with younger children as our nearly adult boys found the beds and sloping ceilings less comfortable and there was only one comfortable chair to sit in on the decking but for 2 nights this wasn’t a big issue (there was a 4 poster bed to lounge on in the gardens!) and overall we had a lovely stay and drinking champagne watching the sunset was perfect.

Montmirail had little to offer for eating out. It was August so a few places were closed and we didn’t want to picnic for 2 days. There was literally nowhere for an evening meal on Tuesday so we got a takeaway pizza. I think you can book some amazing places in advance but they are about 20-30 mins drive.

A gem in the Champagne countryside!

The peaceful setting is perfect for relaxation. The whole property and gites are decorated to a high standard and smell AMAZING - like a spa but better. Breakfast is exceptional, we didn’t try the lunch or dinner options but I’m sure they would have been equally good. The pool is comfortably heated and in a beautiful setting. We were made to feel welcome by the lovely host and despite the luxurious vibe didn’t feel like we were out of place or a nuisance as a family with lively children. Everything was great and I would 100% return and recommend to friends.

The ONLY negative is the later check in time of 5pm - we would have loved an extra hour or two at this stunning property. When staying one night you don’t get a huge amount of time to enjoy there, however I’d wouldn’t stop me from returning!

Beautiful get-away in Champagne area

Beautiful location and stunning, well-maintained and nicely decorated and appointed main house and three cabins in the grounds. Modern, light facilities, very friendly and efficient management and welcome from Cécile. Breakfast was plentiful and we were lucky to have excellent weather to eat on the terrasse of our wooden cabin (nicely furnished, comfortable bed, immaculately clean). We also pre-reserved a dinner basket with half a bottle of champagne, salads, bread, rillettes, cheese and dessert. Wonderful picnic! The views from the house and the cabins are stunning and peaceful. A real break.

Wonderful property in the heart of Changne

Lovely location in Champagne which reminds me of surrey Cécile the host was most welcoming and a charming person. The room was very clean and the view was a-maze-ing! The champagne was to die for!

Lovely location in the countryside on a hill with a splendid view over the valley from three very original mini cottages. Cécile, the manager, is very friendly and makes you feel welcome.

Beautiful views!

We stayed in the dome. Beautiful views and privacy. It is located in a beautiful garden. The host was very helpful and recommended champagne tours nearby which were great. We ordered dinner in the room which was also great!

The outside area could be upgraded with more comfortable chairs to enjoy the outside seating better. The bathroom/ toilet is separated from the bedroom only with a curtain, which was fine for one night, but would not be comfortable for a longer stay. But overall a very pleasant experience!

Lovely place

Lovely and quiet location in the middle of the Champagne area. The rooms feel luxorious, warm and are very clean. The view from the room was amazing. With a dip in the pool and a bottle of Champagne you feel like a royalty in France. The breakfast was very well taken care of fresh pastries, bread, yoghurt, eggs, juice, coffee and all you can wish for in a breakfast. And not to forget, the host is very welcoming and kind. It is a bit of grid but there are lots of Champagne houses to visit, or to drive around and enjoy the the beautiful site.

Road noise quiet loud. After CO they should let you enjoy the pool until later than 1pm. CI should be organized free of charge before 5pm.

Perfect for a short & chill stay when traveling through France

Cécile, the host, was super friendly and welcoming. We could ask anything and she also gave some suggestions where to eat. The room was very nice, quiet and cool. We very much enjoyed the poolside. Since there are not a lot of rooms, it's never too crowded. A bonus for us.

We absolutely loved our stay. We suggested some hooks in the bathroom, to be able to hang your towels. And also more hanging space in the closet for dresses.

We had a beautiful stay here. It is a beautiful building in a lovely setting. Cecile the owner was very friendly and welcoming, and can prepare a delicious evening picnic to enjoy on the terrace and take in the views with some champagne. Good location to explore the region, and on the edge of a town with a few restaurants within easy walking distance.

We stayed in the fox dome, and enjoyed the privacy with an own home and to have your own patio. Good with a private secure parking. Was nice to get the breakfast delivered to our dome and to have that on our own.

The beautiful setting in the middle of nature and beautiful chalets make this place unique on its own. The atmosphere is very cozy, the utilities comfortable and the food was excellent! Highly recommended for holidays in nature, with the possibility to visit Champagne houses nearby and to relax!

Amazing experience that we would recommended to everybody!

We stayed at the dome in the garden & enjoyed a beautiful scenery. Our host Cecile was very friendly and always ready to help and bring drink & food to our dome & swimming pool.

The breakfast was really tasty however we missed some 'charcuterie' and, not the fault of the accomodation, but the nearby village was rather 'death' and there wasn't a single restaurant open on Monday & Tuesday.

Quiet charm and nature

We had a wonderful stay here. The place was very clean and had an ultra charming early 19th century vibe. Our son thoroughly enjoyed the creek that flowed through the garden and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the stroll through the woodland grounds of the property ended up along the Seine river! Elaborate breakfast table settings with a large variety of offerings including delicious homemade jam and yogurt. Located in small town with small grocery store and bistro within a short walk. A definite stay if you are looking for quiet nature and are into history, like we were.

We wished the windows in our quarters had mosquito netting.

Beautiful, welcoming property to stay at during our weekend road-trip to Champagne. The host was very kind and offered us a cot and changing pad for our little baby. Very clean property and we also appreciated that the TV was already connected to a "guest" Netflix account. The owners also have their own sparkling wine that you can order and enjoy in the room. Lovely grounds - would stay here again!

Cecile was an exceptional host and made our stay very comfortable. She was extremely helpful as we wanted to upgrade to the larger room with a walk in shower, she moved out luggage etc.. breakfast is delicious! Definitely will be back
