Couldn't have asked for more!

We had a fantastic week at Maison d'Hotes Joussaume - our first family holiday with our 8 month old baby. The location is perfect being in the town centre and within 30-40 minutes drive to main towns like Epernay and Reims. The apartment room was lovely and had everything we needed like refrigerator, microwave, kettle etc. The only thing lacking was somewhere to hang clothes so we had to keep clothes in our bags but that did not impact on our stay. The garden and swimming pool were perfect, so nice to have the option to relax by the pool especially with a baby. Finally, Marie who runs the B&B is "magnifique"! Very friendly, helpful and accommodating and makes a delicious breakfast with fresh breads/croissants, cheese, yoghurt and fruit. We couldn't have asked for more and if ever we were in the area again we would definitely stay.

Fantastically relaxing stay in a beautiful house with lovely garden and warmed swimming pool, right in the city center. The hostess did all she could to make us comfortable.

Very good

The owner was friendly and welcoming and patient with our rusty French. She recommended a good nearby restaurant. It was wonderful to have air conditioning. The house was very attractive. Minutes walking distance from the centre and with a beautiful enclosed garden. The pool was very clean but sadly it was raining so we didn't use it. Breakfast in the garden room was excellent.

Nothing really. Chateau Thierry isn't a very interesting town but the river side gardens are attractive.

I really enjoyed our brief visit and do hope to visit again. I felt right at home.

Breakfast was a nice start to the day and it was enjoyed in a lovely breakfast room overlooking the stunning back garden. The suite was adorable and beautifully furnished. Marie is an outstanding and very friendly hostess with great style.

We only had one concern and that was the pullout bed. The bar beneath the mattress could be felt and therefore it wasn't the best sleep for my two friends. My other friend and I slept very well in the double/queen bed. It was very comfortable.

Good all around spot for WWI and II history, champagne, good food, CDG airport, and a charming owner

The location was very good for walking to town/restaurants and the river. It was easy to drive to the WWI and WWII sites. The owner Marie was exceptional, very charming. The breakfast was good, especially the day she served us "French Toast". It as an easy drive to the Champagne district and Epernay. We stayed here since we were flying out of CDG mid morning and wanted to be away from the airport--good choice.

The big home is a little quirky but it grows on you. The stairs are narrow and our rooms were on the 3rd floor.

Une parenthèse enchantée

Séjourner chez Marie fut un réel plaisir. L'accueil a été bienveillant et chaleureux. La maison est décorée avec soin, il en va de même pour la chambre qui est d'une propreté irréprochable. Ce fut une vraie parenthèse bucolique notamment grâce au jardin paysager et à la piscine. Quand à l'emplacement, il est idéal pour visiter la ville et ses alentours. Je reviendrai donc sans hésitation ! Merci Marie !

Authentieke Franse gastvrijheid

Prachtig huis, mooie tuin, heel mooie veranda om te ontbijten. Zwembad aanwezig, al hadden we niet de tijd dit te gebruiken. Marie is enorm gastvrij en zorgde iedere ochtend voor een typisch Frans top ontbijtje om de dag te starten. Kamer was zeer proper.
