Salonica Duplex I Penthouse Javea Arenal by Rock Rentals

Vas a la playa andando. Perfecto para seis personas, dos en cada habitación. Todos los días desayunabamos en la terraza que tiene en el salón, daba la sombra y se estaba agusto, y un día hicimos barbacoa para cenar en la azotea, se estaba genial.

Que cuando llegamos había hormigas en las habitaciones de abajo...Solo hay una sarten y se pega. Los cubos de la basura no están a mano, están al lado de la playa, es incómodo y la plaza de garaje es ancha, pero para salir de el, con las columnas es complicado.. Por lo demás todo muy bien.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent. Very quiet, but only a 5 minute walk to the Arenal for lots of bars/restaurants. The accommodation was very clean including all kitchen items and bedding/towels (and I’m fussy about cleanliness!). All amenities you could want are available (and of good quality); washing machine, iron, dishwasher, etc. The roof terrace is brilliant with views of the Montgo; a lovely spot to catch the sun. The balcony on the main level was great for eating meals and relaxing in the evening. Internet speed was very fast and it was nice to have a connected TV for those evenings when you just want to relax on the sofa. Rock rentals left a great little pack of cleaning supplies to get you going, which was very much appreciated. They also provided clear instructions on entry/exit and a handbook with helpful recommendations (though not required for us as we visit the area regularly). Would 100% recommend this accommodation, one of the best we’ve stayed in locally and we hope to return!

Some of the furniture whilst perfectly functional could be upgraded to be more modern, but that’s down to individual taste! Equally, one of the beds was quite firm, but again, everyone’s preferences are different!

The size was good. The pool was nice. The property was clean.

The property had no reviews when I booked. It is very dated and badly needs attention. There were lots of issues with broken things and bent keys. The underground parking is very difficult to get out off due to narrowness of pillars. We had a Seat Ibiza and anything bigger would be impossible. Chair was broken on balcony. The bed was broken in the single room. (Bed has a pull out too, so classed as a double) The blind was broken in the same room. In the main bedroom the blind was faulty too. The shower in the en-suite leaks. The stairs are very slippery and not child friendly. The rental company told us that the key to garage was bent. In fact 2 keys were bent and they were very difficult to use and needed a lot of jiggling. The rental company did not give clear instructions to where the garage is located. It is not obvious but when we arrived at 11pm having collected keys from a lock box at a different location, we were lucky to find an English speaker from the next block, who directed us to the underground car park. The roof terrace is not the same as the photo. Its half the size in reality.
