This little gem was a wonderful place to stay on Skye. Adele and her family welcomed us with an amazing gift hamper full of essentials and a few red extra treats. The view over the water was beautiful. The chalet itself was spotlessly clean, the beds super comfortable and had everything we needed for our three day stay. We would have stayed longer if we could. It’s the perfect little home away from home.

I booked this property for my husband and son who were exploring Skye. This is what they had to say….Exceptionally warm and friendly welcome. The chalet is modern and beautifully fitted out with everything you could possibly need. Lovely welcome hamper and essential supplies in fridge such as eggs and milk. Cosy and comfortable. Magnificent views across the bay. Ideal location for exploring the north of Skye. Very peaceful. Exceeded our expectations in every way.

It was very homie and comfortable, every time we entered the home the temperature was perfect, so no worries about getting cold at night. The kitchen was perfect and we were provided a basket with our essentials.

Very beautiful cabin set in fantastic location. The cabin was spectacularly furnished with all items necessary for a great holiday. The welcoming basket with lots of goodies to top it off. Adele and Fox certainly made us feel very welcoming.

Probably the best place to stay in Isle of Skye!

Adele, our host was super kind, upon arrival she already prepared some food and snacks and even eggs and milk for breakfast. We also recieved a farewell-present from them. She was helpful and offered some places to visit. Definitely recommended! Best regards, Adele!

Delightful experience and host

Fantastic house, really welcoming and comfy. The location is fantastic, very close to The Fairy Glenn and the main road. The host is lovely and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was really caring and offered us help if needed. We were also welcome to a wonderful handwritten letter with some treats. Definitely made our stay there something to remember.

The house can get very warm, but opening the windows for a bit solves the problem.

Attractive, well equipped modern accommodation in the north of Skye.

Very nice modern property, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Great view from large picture windows in the living room. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located 15mins from the Quirang (probably the most photogenic part of Skye). Would definitely stay here again.

Bedrooms were bit tight, only just large enough to fit the double bed.

Ferry’s & the Isle of Skye

Adele’s chalet is located on a brave near the Uig Ferry. We had a lovely time watching “ Ferry TV” through the large picture window in the great room. There is no perceivable noise from the port. The accommodations were contemporary, clean and an easy drive to the Fairy Dell, Fairy Pools and many of the other sights on the Isle of Skye. We were fortunate to have a fully equipped kitchen to make supper, there were no bookings available for supper on the Island.

Excellent chalet with support hosts.

The property was extremely clean and tidy and appeared to be newly refurbished. Everything we needed was there. The host, Adele and her family went above and beyond to make us feel very welcome - with little gifts and notes on arrival and departure - and willing and able to answer any questions we had. The location was ideal for visiting some of the local sights, for example we walked to the the fairy glen, it was a decent walk, but our 6 and 9 year olds managed fine, and it was it was also very near the ferry terminal for our early morning departure on the next leg of our journey to Harris.

Nothing to call out that we didn't like about our stay.

Amazing stay

Really nice small chalet, perfect for 2 couples. The location is perfect and has a great view from one of the bedrooms and livingroom. The parking is included. The host was really helpful and sweet, she also left us some chocolate and biscuits we really appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

Not really important, but would be nice if you could have a walk in the garden which takes you close to the port, the walk is really lovely but unfortunately that part is not really shared with the guests and unfortunately any other path would take way longer and wouldn't be as enjoyable.

Adele was a great host. She contacted me when we booked the chalet, giving us a lot of guidance and recommendations on how to get to the chalet and what to visit in Skye. The location is fantastic, with amazing views to the turquoise waters of Uig harbour. The chalet is brand new, super clean and well equipped with everything you may need (including books, board games, hair dryer). She paid a lot of attention to detail, event left us some fresh food and chocolates. Uig is perfect if you are looking for a quiet location to relax, but it's also close to everything you may want to visit in Skye. Would totally recommend it.
