Hotel Dar

A bit hard to find at first. It's actually a great location on a narrow street just a few minutes' walk from Astronomical Clock. Nice sized room, nice bathroom, clean, a varied and good breakfast.

We booked a taxi via the hotel desk person who said pickup was at the door. He confirmed twice that the driver will pull up to the door. We decided to pay 20E to avoid crossing the pedestrian square with luggage. However, the driver showed up on foot. We still had to drag our luggage down the narrow street, across the square to the Uber pickup spot. At the airport the driver said the cost was 30E, not 20E. We were misled by the hotel worker and cheated by the taxi driver.

Everything was very clean, comfortable and the location can't be better...right next to Old Town Square but off a small alley. Perfect.

Excellent breakfast in a beautiful wine cellar room (bacon, egg, sausages, bread, mini pastries, fruit, continental meats and cheeses, cereal, fruit juice, tea coffee etc). Free access to the roof terrace where you can take your own snacks or drinks (we got a coffee from Miners Coffee nearby and enjoyed it up there) with a great view of the nearby clock tower. Powerful shower and a big room with the usual amenities.

Proximity to the old town on a Friday/Saturday means you will hear some rowdy people outside. The hotel has good soundproofing but the location is so central it is a factor - any hotel in the area will have the same risk.

Very nice location- very central

Rather basic equipment
