The Nook

As soon as I booked, I received such great communications from the owner with info around checking in, local amenities, directions, everything. I even got my own off road parking and a little space of my own. It is really close to the harbour and the town. The Nook is a lovely bijou space - clean, equipped, space to sit outside and a little fridge. Everything was well thought through and comfortable. There was a fan and the room was well aired, making it cool upon entry. I would definitely choose this place if I was to return.

Clutching at straws here..... There were teas, coffees and a little bottle of milk (really thoughtful) but no decaff options If you want a table to sit at to eat then there is a table outside, but no good if it rains (but they do have lap trays). Again, clutching at straws here, as it's a small and well thought out space and suited my needs well.

The Nook was the perfect location to stay in while visiting Mersea Island, the location was perfectly situated between the high street shops and the coast line making it a wonderful destination to stay while exploring the island. The Nook itself was clean, quiet and the owners were very friendly. The facilities were beautifully kept and decorated, the shower was lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable and it had everything needed for a stay in West Mersea. I would absolutely recommend anyone visiting the island to stay here as it was amazing value for money.
