Remote neat cottage
The location (be it quite remote) and the cottage itself are superb. Cottage is well-decorated and enough space for 4 persons. Also the presence of a washing machine and a dryer (both not used though) is good. The dealbreaker for us is the water pressure and quality.
The water pressure was very variable, especially when taking a shower. But also tap water was coloured, contained particles and tasted like peat. This is only announced in the instructions at the location itself. The matrasses were not very good.

Very enjoyable and good value, the location, views, and general comfort outdid the little niggles.
Brilliant location (views!), Lovely ten-minute walks outside the door, well-planned and furnished cottage, being able to book a short stay in peak season at short notice. Gluten-free shortbread included in welcome pack. Good knives - very safe. Relaxed, peaceful and happy atmosphere. WiFi excellent.
Kitchen lacked some equipment (for which there was adequate storage), eg couldn't have made a casserole or baked anything if we'd been staying longer, with family; no large bowl for fruit/shared popcorn/crisps etc...). A general sense of minimal kitchen provision based on the assumption that we'd be eating out/takeaways - not easy in that area. Phone signal a challenge but manageable (O2, EE).

we were looking for the property for hours, the postcode takes you to the wrong location way past the property, better directions should be provided by booking.com Mac Gregor cottage is part of a group of property’s called linear and that is what the sign post reads at entry to the property from the road. All the guests had problems finding the place
