One of the best stays we had in our 12 day Scotland trip

Wow, the view from the Shepherd Moon was stunning. We counted at least 7 waterfalls across the bay from the house. Really close to Neist Point with some of the most stunning vistas in the world. The house was warm, with two bathrooms and two large bedrooms. A washing machine was available (no drying, just drying racks). We absolutely loved our two-night stay here.

Just keep in mind that it is nearly an hour from a large grocery store (in Portree; although there are some smaller ones in Dunvegan). Some people might not like the isolation, but it was perfect for us.

Rustic house in the countryside with a stunning view. Modern, well appointed kitchen. Comfortable living room and dining room and exceptionally comfortable beds.

Bit of a drive on narrow roads to get there, but well worth it. This is what Skye is all about!

Beautiful home on Skye

The Croft House was a wonderful place to call home for our stay on Skye. We loved how cozy and charmingly decorated it was. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. The location was great and we wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the property. The owner of the house was very thoughtful and left behind a very useful binder full of information and tips for the local area.

The management company. They weren't responsive to questions prior to check-in or during our stay. There was a window that wouldn't fully close in the upstairs bathroom and the company didn't reply to our request for suggestions or information on how to close the window. Full disclosure: we were supplied with the phone number of a local contact in case of emergency, but we didn't think the window qualified as an emergency or major issue. We were there for only a short time anyway and just put up with the wind whistling through the partially opened window.

Relaxing.

Nice clean property with functional heaters. We stayed 2 nights and because it rained all day we mostly stayed in. The house was very comfortable with strong WiFi and good temperature control.

It is at the end of the Isle and took a long time to get here. No fault of the property I just didn’t realized how long it took. A property far away from the main area probably required us to stay longer so we could do more hiking.

Fantastic

Excellent location, on the end of peninsula. Very quiet spot, beautiful views along the coastline. Nice window seats to relax and enjoy the view. The house is well equipped, everything you need is there. Comfortabel beds.

We were not able to contact the host about use of the EV charging point.

Okay with some drawbacks.

The beds we’re comfortable and the guides for how to use everything in the house were excellent. Spacious.

Getting to it is nerve wracking with lots of dangerous pot holes and there is a gate one must open towards the road in order to park. There is sheep dung everywhere on the road and front part of driveway where one needs to get out of car to open the gate. We also could not figure out the front door lock with key. It’s also a very remote area of the island.

With a few minor improvements by the property manager, this home could really be perfect

The scenery is gorgeous, very quiet area, and the house is comfortable and spacious.

We were left with only a half-roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for 4 people x 3 nights. The upstairs bath is only a tub and the downstairs shower didn’t work properly. On high water pressure, the temp fluctuates between boiling and freezing, and water pressure on “eco” is so low it’s nearly unusable. We contacted the manager about these issues and received a response about the shower the night before we left, when it was too late to correct. They also ask you to strip the beds, take out the trash to the curb, etc. which, for what we paid, is not something I think we should have to do. The long road to the house also has MANY potholes and is single track so plan an extra 30 minutes each way.

Superb

The house is very big, with lots of rooms where you can hang out in case of bad weather. Beds were VERY comfortable. Views from the house were stunning! And there are plenty of hike options around. We have faced some issues with the heating, but both the managing company and the owner were very responsive and solved our queries quickly. If you search for calm and tranquility, this is definitely the place to stay!

The house is perfect! Just be mindful that there is a long bumpy road to get there, but that’s part od the experience :)

Gorgeous views. Good central heating. Kitchen was great- it had all the appliances and cutlery/crockery we needed.

The upstairs toilet was only suitable for a bath (no showerhead), we had to use the downstairs shower. Shower stall was a little small and water was warm but the pressure was not great.

Wunderschönes Haus in unschlagbarer Lage! Die lange Anfahrt lohnt sich für alle, die das Besondere suchen. Sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr komfortabel, mit Klimaanlage, Ladeport für E-Auto und wirklich mehr, als man braucht. Wir waren nur zwei Nächte dort, aber haben gleich eine Woche fürs nächste Jahr gebucht! Wenn es also mal frei sein sollte - greifen Sie zu: unvergesslich!

Ein besonderes und sehr individuelles Ferienhaus!

Eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit einem fantastischen Ausblick. Individuell und liebevoll eingerichtet; es fehlte an nichts. Hoher Erholungswert für Wanderer und Naturfreunde. Dad Haus liegt am Ende der Welt, aber wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren. Es war einfach schön.

Der lange Anfahrtsweg ist nicht jedermanns Sache, aber man wird mit Ruhe und toller Aussicht belohnt. Möglichst auch entsprechend Verpflegung mitbringen. Der General Store ist ein gutes Stück entfernt und die Straßen sind sehr schmal. Im oberen Bad wäre ein Duschkopf schön und dad untere Bad ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
