Wow, the view from the Shepherd Moon was stunning. We counted at least 7 waterfalls across the bay from the house. Really close to Neist Point with some of the most stunning vistas in the world. The house was warm, with two bathrooms and two large bedrooms. A washing machine was available (no drying, just drying racks). We absolutely loved our two-night stay here.
Just keep in mind that it is nearly an hour from a large grocery store (in Portree; although there are some smaller ones in Dunvegan). Some people might not like the isolation, but it was perfect for us.

Rustic house in the countryside with a stunning view. Modern, well appointed kitchen. Comfortable living room and dining room and exceptionally comfortable beds.
Bit of a drive on narrow roads to get there, but well worth it. This is what Skye is all about!

The Croft House was a wonderful place to call home for our stay on Skye. We loved how cozy and charmingly decorated it was. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was clean. The location was great and we wished we could've stayed longer to enjoy the property. The owner of the house was very thoughtful and left behind a very useful binder full of information and tips for the local area.
The management company. They weren't responsive to questions prior to check-in or during our stay. There was a window that wouldn't fully close in the upstairs bathroom and the company didn't reply to our request for suggestions or information on how to close the window. Full disclosure: we were supplied with the phone number of a local contact in case of emergency, but we didn't think the window qualified as an emergency or major issue. We were there for only a short time anyway and just put up with the wind whistling through the partially opened window.

The beds we’re comfortable and the guides for how to use everything in the house were excellent. Spacious.
Getting to it is nerve wracking with lots of dangerous pot holes and there is a gate one must open towards the road in order to park. There is sheep dung everywhere on the road and front part of driveway where one needs to get out of car to open the gate. We also could not figure out the front door lock with key. It’s also a very remote area of the island.
